FLANKER REVERSE

QB-Fake to 3 -back to 2-hole, hand off to Flanker for reverse. QB must follow through with bootleg.

2-Back-Block backside pressure from L/S.

3-Back-Take fake into 2-hole. As LOS clears try and work back to R/S and trap LB inside.

F-Sprint to R/S, cross behind QB for hand off. Turn up field on reverse.

X-Drive Corner up field, block out.

C-Block Up.

LG-Release block at LOS, block MLB.

LT-Release block at LOS, block OLB.

RG, RT-Trap block back inside.

TE-Drift up field, try and trap F/S inside.

Basic Terminology
This section contains definitions for basic football terms and abbreviations used in this playbook.

Term Description
CB or CORNER Defensive Cornerback, normally lined up outside on the offensive wide receivers
DT Defensive Tackle, normally lined up between the offensive guard and tackle.
DE Defensive End, normally the last player on the outside of the defensive line.
MLB Middle Linebacker
LB Linebacker
OLB Outside Linebacker
This normally the furthest back defensive player, some defenses have 2, most

LOS or Line of This is the yard line that the ball is placed on. The offensive formation must

“I Right” = The Offensive Formation
“2” = The 2-BACK is getting the ball
“1” = The hole the 2-BACK is going thru
“Dive” Type of run (See run types Below)

Play #2 I Right 60 Quick Pass


“I Right” = The Offensive Formation
“6” = 3-step drop for QB
“0” = The route # (See Passing TREE)
“Quick Pass” = No Bootleg, just straight drop and pass
Dive = No double team or Lead Block. Lead = Lead Blocker Power = Line is Double Teaming one
