Research objectives:

OBJECTIVES:

➢ To know “Customer satisfaction of Retail outlets”

➢ To Analyses “Consumer Purchase Decision towards retail outlets

➢ To find out the “Customers Response towards retail outlets”

SUB OBJECTIVES:

➢ To know customers satisfy with price of goods of Retail outlets


➢ To know customers satisfy with variety available in Retail outlets

➢ To know the customers opinion about number of employees

➢ To find customers are comfortable with goods arrangement

➢ To find customers need help of salesman

➢ To know which parameter attract customers towards Retail outlets

➢ To find which scheme consumer like

➢ To find satisfaction about various services and goods

➢ To find income of customers

RESEARCH PLAN:
Research is an art of scientific investigation, which helps to search for knowledge. Research
methodology considers following items:

NATURE OF STUDY:

The nature of this research is Experimental one. Because experimental research studies are
normally concerned with finding out the general nature of the problem and the different variables
that are related to the problem. These kinds of research are very flexible, stratified and done by
simple survey. It gives subjective evaluation of the research.

TYPE OF DATA:

There are mainly two types of data.


➢ Primary Data
➢ Secondary Data

Primary data are those, which are collected for the first time and thus happen to be original in
character.
Secondary data, on the other hand are those, which have already been collected by someone in
the past. For this research study primary data is used.

DATA SOURCE:

Primary data is collected from the Respondents directly. Respondents are the main source of
getting information. Secondary data are collected from the magazines, different reports,
publishes, internet etc.

DATA COLLECTION METHOD:

For collecting primary data these are main two important methods.
• Interview method
• Personal interview
• Questionnaires

For this research study primary data are collected through questionnaires method.

RESEARCH INSTRUMENT:

A Questionnaire is used as data collection instruments for collecting the primary data by fill up
it from different customers. A questionnaire consists of a numbers of questions printed or typed
in a definite order on a form or set of forms.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

The project report is based upon primary data collection. The collection of the
data was basically through direct contact to customers by filling questionnaire .

SAMPLING METHOD

The samples are selected by using Convenience Sampling Method. In convenience sampling
selection, as the name implies, the sampler chooses the sampling units on the basis of
“convenience”.

Sampling Unit:-

In the study sampling unit is Population of Ahmadabad city.

1. Occupation
As we can see above pie chart that those respondents who filled up questionnaire from them 32
% are doing job, 23 % are home maker and student, and 16% having own business and only 6 %
are professional.
2. Age

We can see in line chart that 44.5 % respondent’s age is between 20-25 year, but at the same
time only 2.% respondent’s age is between 36-40 year.
3. Which is your preferred mall?

In Our 200 sample size, 50 % above respondents prefer Big Bazaar and second prefer mall is
reliance mart, At the same time only 30 % respondents like to go Star Bazaar and V mart for
shopping.
4. How many times before today you visited your preferred mall?

Interpretation:

From above graph I can say that 38% customers visited more than10 times to preferred mall and
21 % customers visited 8 to 10 times and also 20% customers visited 4 to 7 times. That’s why I
can say that preferred mall having repeated customers and this is good point for company and
among them 38 % respondents are loyal customers for preferred mall
5. What is your opinion about numbers of employees in your preferred mall?

Interpretation:

From above graph I conclude that 85.5% customers said that preferred mall has sufficient
employees. That’s why no need to add or short lists any employees from preferred mall.

6. What do you think about the price of goods in your preferred mall compare to other
stores?
Interpretation:

From above graph-3 I conclude that only 66% respondent believed that price of goods at
preferred mall having low price compare to other stores. And 29% respondent believed on
Equal price, this is neutral rating for company. But 4.5% customers told that store having high
price and this is negative rating for preferred mall.
7. What do you think about variety available in your preferred mall?

Through this bar char we conclude that at preferred mall 48% respondent said that there is
sufficient variety in garment no more and no less garment variety. At the same time we can see
that respondent saw sufficient variety in footwear, crockery, cosmetics and home furnishing at
preferred mall. This is positive rating for preferred mall.

8. Are you comfortable with goods arrangement at Your preferred mall for shopping?

Interpretation:

From above graph-5, we say that 81.5% customers are comfortable but only 18.5% are not
comfortable with this arrangement, mainly reason for that is they feel congested arrangement
because of lake of space at store.

9. Do you need help of salesman at the time of shopping at Your preferred mall?

Interpretation:

From above graph-9 we can say that 50% customers need help of salesman but 50% customers
don’t need any help from salesman.50% customers who want help from salesman then preferred
mall try to help to needy customer as much as possible and should provide every kind of help.

10. On which criteria do you follow shopping of the goods at your preferred mall?
Interpretation:

Form above graph we can say that customer’s first choice is quality, second is price, third is
design and fourth is variety.

11. Why you will visit again for shopping at Your preferred mall?

Just look at Bar chart , we can say that 36% respondent said that they will visit again if price of
goods is less and also 34 % respondent said that they visit again if quality of goods is high. As
result, preferred mall should try to keep less price of good compare to other store and maintain
quality of good.

12. ) Have you ever found any calculation mistakes in your Bills?

Interpretation:

From above graph-12 only 87% customers did not find any calculation mistakes in bills.

13. Which scheme do you prefer?

As we can see 52.5% respondents said that they like Discount Scheme and 32.5 % said that they
like Buy three get one free scheme so we concluded that preferred mall keep discount Scheme
as more as compare other scheme.
