The St. Andrew Council 10632 is celebrating their 20th
Anniversary today May 1st. We encourage all men of the
parish that are 18 years or older to consider joining the
Knights of Columbus. Please contact Bill Leach, Grand

support of our council's efforts.
VIDALIA ONION SALE
The Knights of Columbus will have their annual Vidalia Onion Sale
this weekend of April 30th and May 1st. We will again have 10
pound bags fresh from the farm.
FAMILY LIVING ROSARY “KNIGHT”
Pick up your favorite beads and make your favorite
dessert. We are celebrating families and our Blessed
Mother. On Monday, May 16th at 7:15pm we will meet in
the church to pray a Living Rosary to honor Mary, our Blessed
Mother. Bring your special prayer requests and put them in a basket
we will place them on the altar to pray for as we recite the rosary.
After our family prayer, we will head down to the Multi-purpose room
and celebrate by sharing desserts and each other’s company. You
bring your dessert (and recipe too, if not a secret) to share and brag
about, and the Knights of Columbus will have ice cream, coffee, milk,

PAROCHIAL VICAR DINNER DANCE
The Knights of Columbus Fr. Charles Watters Assembly will be spon-
soring a dinner dance in honor of Fr. Carlos Vargas, Fr. Gilbert
Exume, Fr. William Hao, Fr. Stephen Lyness, Fr. Diosmar Natad, Fr.
Daniel McCormick on Saturday, May 21st from 6:30-11:00pm. The
dance will be held here at St. Andrew’s. Tickets are $70 per couple
with a cash bar. Dress attire is semi-formal. They will have a 50/50
split the pot with proceeds benefiting the Priests’ Retirement Fund.

SCOUTING AWARDS
We would like to congratulate all of St. Andrew Scouts and Scout
leaders who were given special awards by Archbishop Wilton Gregory
on April 9th at the celebration of the Atlanta Archdiocese Catholic
Committee on Scouting Annual Mass. The following awards were
given:
Ciara Doyle—Mary, the First Disciple Award. This Marian program
enables girls to Proclaim the greatness of the Lord by actively involv-
ing them in an understanding of Mary as the model of openness and
spirituality—a woman of the Church
Michael DeLise, Robert Gotschall, Kacie Lashley, Loral Lashley,
Alexander Leach, Kevin O’Donnell and Dylan Regan—Pope Pius
XII Emblem Award. This program has the candidate examine how
being a Christian affects his or her daily life in the real world. It chal-
lenges the candidate to evaluate his or her personal talents and abili-
ties in light of a possible choice of lifestyle, vocation or ministry that
relates in some way to belonging to the community and becoming
more active in the Catholic faith community.
Robert Gotschall and Alexander Leach—Pillars of Faith– Duty to
God Award This is highest award a Boy Scout can earn after receiv-
ing all four of their Religious Emblems. (Light of Christ, Parvuli Dei,
Ad Altare Dei, Pope Pius XII) To earn all four of these awards is a
monumental feat.
Also, scout leaders Deacon Tom Gotschall and Bill Leach—St.
George Award This is a reward for service to Catholic youth and
promoting Catholic Emblems
Faith Formation
Summer Faith Formation
Classes are filling up fast. If you have not registered your child for
this week long Faith, Formation and Fun please do so. Registration
forms are located on the information walls in the Narthex and in the
Religious Education Hall. The fee is $100.00 for one child and
$150.00 per family of two or more.
Volunteers Needed
We are still accepting applications for volunteer catechists in the Faith
Formation Programs for Summer and Fall sessions. If you are inter-
ested in sharing your faith with the children of St. Andrew, please
contact the Faith Formation Office at 770-641-9720. We also need
lunch volunteers for the summer program.
JPII Bookstore is looking for some volunteers. If you are interested in
working in the bookstore after any of the Saturday or Sunday Masses,
please contact the church office to be put on the schedule. Simple
training is provided.
EDGE/CHAMPS
The Youth Programs for grades 4th through 8th will begin in
full force again in September. Registration forms for this
wonderful social and service organization for youth will begin this
summer. Watch the bulletin for more information on upcoming

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
Please sign-up for Eucharistic Adoration for the month of
May. You can spend a quiet hour once a week with Our
Lord, listening and praying before the Blessed Sacrament.
You can sign-up in the chapel during the week or in the
narthex on weekends. Guardians commit to one hour a
week (for four to five consecutive weeks in a row) for one month at
a time.

GREGORIAN CHANT
St. Francis de Sales Church in Mableton will be hosting a free Gregor-
ian Chant workshop on Saturday, May 14, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
At 9:00, the parish’s weekday Low Mass in the Extraordinary Form will
be offered for those interested. Using selections from the Ordinary and
Propers of the Mass found in the Liber Usualis, Fr. Brian Austin,

Off to College this coming Fall? The Archdiocese of Atlanta has eight
campus ministries that exist to help college students grow in faith dur-
ing their college years. Because of the Family Educational Rights and
Privacy Act it has become increasingly difficult for some Catholic Cam-
pus ministries to obtain information from the schools about student’s
religious affiliation, even when the question is asked on application
forms, especially at secular colleges and universities. Please let the
campus ministries know when students are coming their way so that
can reach out. It would help them to know the prospective student’s

Estudio Bíblico de Verano para niños de kinder a quinto grado. Junio
27 a Julio 1ero. Estate pendiente.
Campamento para jóvenes (Teens) 13-17 anos, junio 23-25. Ven, te
sorprenderemos con diversión, compañerismo y crecimiento. Necesa-
rio apuntarse, cupo para 30 jóvenes. Madres y padres que quisieran
ser chaperones del grupo por favor apuntarse en la oficina.
Reunión de Ministerios de la Arquidiócesis de Atlanta. St. Andrew 23
de Julio. 9-4pm. Centro Familiar.
Día Catequético 30 de Julio 2011. El departamento de Formación en la
Fe de la Arquidiócesis de Atlanta requiere que todas las catequistas y
asistentes tomen cursos de formación anualmente, El Día Catequético
cumple con este requisito. El taller es en St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Este numero es el que debe usar en los sobres que encontrara en las
bancas todos los domingos para que deposite su diezmo. Al usar el
sobre para el diezmo cada domingo, usted deja constancia de que
cumplió la obligación de oír misa y que es un miembro activo de la
comunidad.
Si llegara a necesitar una carta para la escuela de sus hijos, constancia
de que vive en el condado o para inmigración, solo podemos confirmar
esa información si usted está inscrito como miembro activo. De igual
manera cuando necesite ayuda económica o medica de San Vicente de
Paul se le da preferencia si esta inscrito en St. Andrew.
EL DIEZMO. Una hora de salario a la semana es lo
mínimo que debes considerar ofrecerle al Señor.
Pon tú donación en los sobres que encontraras en las
bancas. Al usarlos con tu numero de registro a cum-
ples con tu responsabilidad de tesoro y asistencia a la
misa.

NOVENA DE LA DININA MISERICORDIA
En el año 2001 El Papa Juan Pablo II estableció de
nuevo la tradición del peregrinaje de la Divina Mise-
ricordia. St. Andrew comienza esta tradición con la
novena a la Divina Misericordia el Viernes Santo a
las 2:00 pm en la iglesia y termina Mayo 1ero. El
horario durante la semana se encuentra en las bancas
de atrás de la iglesia.
CRECIMIENTO ESPIRITUAL
GRUPO DE ORACION SEMILLAS DE PAZ Y AMOR. Para todos
los que deseen conocer al Señor leyendo la palabra y apren-
diendo a orar en un ambiente amoroso y relajado. Todos los
martes de 7-9 pm. Salón 202. Coordinadora Marina Urrea.
EXPOSICION DEL SANTISIMO EN LA CAPILLA. Dedícale una
hora a la semana de oración y silencio al Señor expuesto.
Apúntate para hacerle guardia. HORARIO de lunes a viernes
9:00 am a 9:00 pm.
ADORACION NOCTURNA. TODOS LOS SABADOS DE 9:00PM-

padrinos estar casados sacramentalmente Y traer copia del certifica-
do de Matrimonio. Solteros: DEBEN ser mayores de 16 años de
edad, y presentar certificado de CONFIRMACION. PAREJAS EN
UNION LIBRE NO CALIFICAN PARA SER PADRINOS. Platicas de prepara-
ción: OBLIGATORIAS PARA PADRES Y PADRINOS EN EL HORARIO
