BACKGROUND

Boqor lies 9.5 km south west of Gabilay and is 1590 M above the sea level it is good for
farming and one of the large scaled sorghum and corn production as Gabilay is the largest
productive parts of the dry fed farm growth Boqor is the largest sub district of Gabilay on
farming, Sorghum growth is mostly exercised for both human consumption and the bulk of
its annual life span and that cows and goats are fed with it during the longer prolonged
seasonal droughts. Brecks and Water dumps are used for water harvesting during the rainy
and floods seasons. This water are used when it is dry and fed to livestock otherwise they
walk longer distance by fetching water from there. Some changes are taking place.

A high land stretched to the west of 1613 M above the sea levels bring floods from rains
and started to destroy the most suitable harvesting area by lagoons deep holes, water
trucking naturally excavated undisciplined soil erosion displacing the farming
opportunities and the farms themselves. over hundred families has been displaced by these
floods and moved them out for Hunting to unknown areas and to towns, others are hitting
heads for they don’t have the power to resist the crazy flood a terror type kind of destroyer
that destroys without good demand. The Somalia existed governments including
the present system gave too little care or none to consider the forth coming pains, once
tried proper without discussion good technical advices on hydraulic planning has kept the
same. Every other call has been made for a support on the need, too little people officers
and experts have translated the call of a need and support to dramatic logically and
developmental requirement of support to these villagers and its very first time in history
that an intervention more suitable with enthusiasm that everyone from the sub district
rally for is the action financial and technical support committed to be provided fully as
much a possible is that of world concern in the history of Boqor, based on such realization
the community has discussed to avoid any failure to the program, the will and the wants of
the community is fully technically translated into this drafty proposal and submitted to the
world concerned for cooperation and project implementation.

and the environment
2. Design of the construction work and discuss with the villagers at large
3. Develop a clear project document of this part
4. Workout the estimation and the rate of the flood, it’s velocity and areas of the travel
5. Decide the best positions of the dumps namely next to the lagoon some 1 and half km
to the west of lagoon
6. Design a bridge type concrete construction supported med tide wall to keep the floods a
big water catchment that can hold two to three hundred thousand meter cube in annual
replenishment
7. Calculate the construction materials and develop work plans
8. Clear the site, prepare water tanks and construction materials on site
9. Purchase the concrete sleeves, mixers, spaceman brought on site.
10. Clarify each and every day activity, the labor needed, truck needed, heavy duty
equipment needed on daily bases, weekly bases.

agreed with the funding organizations. The project relevant authorities will be updated by the
council in respect to these authorities

TECHNICAL PART

The soil permeability will truly be inspected through every layer before dugging the water camp
too deep on a layer that releases water fast and holding very little other than our objectives.
Second method is that the hand dug permibility test is provided already and each and every
layer has been collected and tests are carried out to select the best smallest permeability
percentage of water depletion acceptability.

WORK ANALYSIS

Together with the funding organization analyses can be gone through and viable ideas might be
recommended either directions of the partners.

FEASIBILITY STUDIES OF THE PROJECT

Material and the technical work the labor skilled and non skilled , qualified technical staff are on
financially well updated to strategically phenomenon of good work of poverty reduction is to be
implemented.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT

it is already cleared by the EIA team that there is a acceptability and sufferable needed to do so.
CONTRACT WORKS heavy duty work will be contracted to specialized
organizations with heavy duty equipment owners

LABOR WORK labor will be selected with the CDC of Boqor

MATERIAL PURCHASE quality material will be selected and bought

SITE CONSTRUCTION will be undertaken as budget and time allows

REPORTING

MONTHY REPORT will be submitted on time
