Belz, Adam. "OUT OF THE RUBBLE." Scholastic Scope Vol. 59 Issue 12 (2011): 4-
9. Web. 3 Apr. 2011.

Tells the story of one man’s experiences with the earthquake and how he
survived. It gives a lot of good imagery and helps to explain the average person’s
experience and thoughts on Jan 12. It may not be terribly helpful, but I believe
that it will help me to explain some of the feelings that people experienced and it
has some good statistics.

about the earthquake and will be useful for adding statistics into my paper and
describing initial reactions of people.

Dass, Shelly. "OAS Action in Haiti." Americas 63.1 (2011): 33. ProQuest Research
Library. Web. 6 Apr. 2011.

Explains a lot of the devastation and why the Earthquake did so much damage. It
also describes some of the financial aid Haiti received directly after the
earthquake. It’s a trustworthy, scholarly article and will be good for explaining
aid and the previous poor conditions of Haiti.

This article defines many of the groups working to provide financial aid for Haiti.
It is mostly just a list of the different groups that are trying to help, but it could be
useful for finding other information or citing in the financial aid section.

This article takes a step back from the chaos of the earthquake and reevaluates the
situation 6 months after the earthquake happened. It has accurate statistics and
gives good detail of the situation that still exists in Haiti. Very useful throughout
the paper.

The Bank of Japan is offering 12 billion dollars worth of loans to companies

affected by the country’s earthquake. Came from an online newspaper and is very
recent. It shows more support type things that the country is receiving. I can use
it in the support section.

Scholarly journal, so trustworthy. It will be able to give me lots of statistics for
financial aid and casualties.
