Resources
 Recognizing Coalition members contributions, you could do a few things throughout the
year:
 Track their membership anniversary dates and recognize individuals before beginning the
agenda.
 Allocate time at the beginning of each board meeting to ask each board member to report
their challenges and successes they are experiencing, either in their respective sectors and/or
personally. While this is optional, we have yet to have a member pass.
 Allocate time on each meeting agenda to offer an opportunity for each member to announce
what is happening in their respective sectors, in case they have something to announce or an
event. It offers a great opportunity for collaboration among various sectors in your
community.
 Host an event called Brag Night. Volunteers are included in this community event where the
general public can nominate a community member to be recognized for their contributions to
improving the lives of children and families in your county.
