SEX THAT CAUSES SUFFERING:

Dear friend, nowadays, almost everybody think that many of the values necessary for a
person to progress and succeed have been lost. When we talk about a sexual life, we
must have in mind the great master’s wisdom from India. They have clearly taught us
that we must treat sexual affairs as something sacred. We all have come to this world by
sexual means, and also all people might as well have children through this same means.
Having a sexual life is one of the wonders of creation in which God permits us to take
the role of father or mother. This is one of the reasons why sacred marriage exists, and
that’s how it should always be without objections. The fast and easy way in which
marriages are dissolved today is a concrete sign that our values and civilized costumes
are fading, and that society is getting close to self destruction; and if we don’t make a
change in consciousness, we are all going to be responsible for it. Any sexual relation is
nothing but a great risk of falling in total disgrace. A woman looses her chastity, and a
man looses his own values as a human being. Furthermore, if children come to this
world as a result of these illicit relations, only a life full of disharmony, pain, and total
disorientation is awaiting for them since their parents didn’t protect them as they should
have done it. Moreover, if we consider sexual appetite the strong impulse each being
has, then we can acknowledge that this is a great uncontrollable danger, and that Lord
Krishna was right when He called it the enemy that arises from the modality of the
passion which is then transformed in anger when it doesn’t satisfy the person.

Lust is the cause of illicit sexual life (outside marriage), but when we study and realize
the secondary effects of this mistake, we must call them out and alert everyone. Take
into account, for example, how many people are victims of sexual transmitted diseases,
the hard and unfortunate situation in which single mothers are left, or how sad and
painful is for a child to live in a situation where mom and dad are not together. We must
consider all these facts seriously given also that marriage has been accepted by all
religions around the world as a sacred bond.

The ability to control sexual appetite, as a monk or as a married person is a part of our
sincerity and favourable path. This way, I recommend you to study how you can live
perfectly because if your sexual life is the cause of somebody else’s suffering, it is a big
calamity. Besides, when you don’t have responsible relations, you will feel sooner or
later, that everything in your life is covered by a great dark cloud where you will only
see confusion. The sense of responsibility that comes along with the reproductive power
of our body is a requirement for any intelligent and civilized human being. Otherwise a
person can be driven to commit the worst imaginable act, which is to terminate the
embryo’s life, like it’s usually done nowadays. These type of acts, like killing your own
son demonstrates that people involved in illicit sex are very much degraded and don’t
think before they act in what’s really convenient for them. If we, because of bad
association with people of this kind of mentality, because of the daily influence of the
media, don’t understand our responsibility, or just because of the desire itself we have
fallen in the trend of illicit sex, it is about time to open our eyes before the disgrace
increases.

My dearest soul friend, these are some words I learned from my spiritual master to
meditate about the values of celibate, discover a superior taste arising from spiritual life,
and to encourage yourself to have the strength to walk a pure path forever; to be able to
get to adulthood with true dignity, and without leaving behind a long list of broken
hearts, and afflicted souls which will cover their own future with sinful reactions. So,
don’t forget that your crop is the fruit of your own acts. This way, whatever we have
done with our sexual life, children or those who are unprotected will reflect back in the
way of reactions; and in following lives, we will eventually experience these same
situations. The one who abandon his wife will reincarnate as an abandoned woman in
his following life, the one who practice an abortion will reincarnate in the womb of a
mother and will be aborted and assassinated, and the one who makes others suffer will
suffer the same way sooner or later. That’s why, to avoid all these, I invite you to ask
pardon from the bottom of your heart for all the mistakes you have committed in the
past and to opt for an spiritual amnesty in which you can turn for help through the Maha
Mantra: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare since this is the meditation that connects you with the purifying
force of God, with God’s Name, and His forgiveness, and this way you will be able to
obtain perfection in life.

• “I LOVE YOU”. False declaration, but well known worldwide. In other times,
marriage was meant to be for a lifetime being consummated before the altar of a
church or temple. Today, the majority of young people don’t get married
officially. They just get together, and then separate like homeless dogs do.
Indeed, the amount of official marriages that end up in divorce increases
tremendously everyday. Only tears are left, memories, and the children for
whom custody will be disputed at the court, or who in the worst case, will end
up in the streets because none of the parents would keep them. In many
countries, the quantity of homeless people is the proof of the cruel consequence
of this matter.

• When we contemplate the sense’s objects, the person starts to develop

attachment to them, and lust arises from that attachment, consecutively anger
arises from lust, and complete illusion arises from anger; and from the illusion
we only get a confused mind. When the mind is confused, intelligence is lost,
and when we loose intelligence we fall once again in the material existence.
