more quiet so that you can have decent conversation and good food with a
nice wine selection, I would suggest Caffe Sociale in the Laurel District.
You can find street parking and it's tucked away in a little hidden
courtyard which is very romantic when the weather is cooperating.

charge extra for catchup but they used to. Take the ferry to Sasito for
dinner was a great first date I used to do. Or take them to the Montclaire
Bistro in Oakland, a first class french restaurant a good friend of mine
