1. Purpose
The RCCC is committed to recognizing and rewarding exemplary performance and/or
service to our organization. This policy outlines our types of awards, eligibility, methods of
selecting recipients, and award style.

2. Application
This policy shall be applicable to the RCCC and its associated programs in their entirety. All
members shall comply with the provisions of this policy.

3. Authority
The RCCC Board of Directors shall have final authority over any award or recognition
sponsored by RCCC for a member or person outside the RCCC. The Board of Directors
reserves the right to limit, approve and specify all awards and recognition representing the
RCCC organization. The Board of Directors may amend this policy at any time without prior
notice to the membership for the good of the order.

4. Policy

4.1. Award of Excellence

4.1.1. Purpose
The purpose of the Award of Excellence is to recognize outstanding service,
dedication and commitment to the RCCC program. There is no limit to the
number of awards or time frame for presentation. However, care should be
taken not to over use this award thus diluting its’ perceived value.

4.1.2. Eligibility
All members who have completed the six-month probationary period, and have
been deemed as being in good standing (RCCC Bylaws, Article III), are eligible
to receive this award. On occasion, a person outside of the RCCC may be
eligible to receive the award for service to the RCCC.

4.1.3. Nomination and Selection Process


Nominations for this award may be made by any member of the Board of
Directors, at any time during the year. The Board shall determine the
appropriateness of the award and, by a simple majority, approve such awards
as they come before the body.

4.1.4. Style and Form


This award usually takes the form of a printed certificate signed by the Board of
Directors and is presented at an all RCCC meeting of choice. It may also be
accompanied by a gift certificate not to exceed $50 at the discretion of the
Board.

4.2. Volunteer of the Year

4.2.1. Purpose
The purpose of the Volunteer of the Year award is to recognize the highest form
of dedication, commitment and service to the RCCC during the calendar year.
This VOTY award shall be at the highest level of award recognition by the RCCC,
and by nature be awarded at least annually.

4.2.2. Eligibility
All members who have completed the six-month probationary period, and have
been deemed as being in good standing (RCCC Bylaws, Article III), are eligible
to receive this award. Only RCCC members are eligible for this award.

4.2.3. Nomination and Selection Process


An Ad-Hoc Awards committee including one Officer of the Board of Directors
shall solicit nomination from the membership at least 60 days before the Annual
Meeting. The Awards committee shall present their recommendation to the
Board of Directors at least 30 days before the Annual Meeting. The Board of
Directors shall approve the recommendation.

4.2.4. Style and Form


This award usually takes the form of an engraved plaque or acrylic piece and is
presented at the RCCC Annual Meeting. It may also be accompanied by a gift
certificate not to exceed $75 at the discretion of the Board. A press release shall
be prepared and issued immediately following the award presentation.

4.3. President’s Award

4.3.1. Purpose
The purpose of the President’s Award is to recognize outstanding support and
service to the RCCC President. There is no limit to number of awards or time
frame for presentation for this award. However, care should be taken not to
over use this award thus diluting its’ perceived value.

4.3.2. Eligibility
All members who have completed the six-month probationary period, and have
been deemed as being in good standing (RCCC Bylaws, Article III), are eligible
to receive this award. On occasion, a person outside of the RCCC may be
eligible to receive the award for service to the RCCC President.

4.3.3. Nomination and Selection Process


The RCCC President shall be solely responsible for selecting recipients for this
award by virtue of their office and position in RCCC.

4.3.4. Style and Form


This award usually takes the form of a printed certificate signed by the RCCC
President, or other appropriate form as deemed appropriate, and is presented
at an all RCCC meeting of choice.
