There was once a German client to whom I had sold a premium

what was promised in the agreement( free 15000 air miles).
Apparently, he had missed a point in the agreement which stated

the agreement to show him that condition after which he
understood and apologized for the misunderstanding.

I am a fun guy and love to keep a light mood in my work
environment. I once made a small joke on one of my colleagues,
which everyone took with a grain of salt. Over the next couple of
days, I noticed a change in behavior of that guy towards me. I
figured it had something to do with that joke, so I confronted him
and asked him straight forward if he was offended by that, which
he was. I apologized to him and explained that it was just a casual
remark and that I had high regards for him. He understood that I
was being honest, so he forgot about the incident and our rapport
