Ice Cream Scoop Kid’s Worship

“Eve Tastes the Delicious Fruit”

Prayer: Pray for all the different (colors) cultures, and children around the
nation. Jesus loves all people, colors, and races – red, yellow, black,
brown, and white.

Offering contest: cut out two large cones and use different colors for the
dips of ice-cream. Add a dip of ice-cream for each $1.00 the kids give.
Have a contest between the boys and the girls. At the end of the theme,
allow only the winners to burst a piñata. However, give all the kids candy.

Music: Use DVDs that your kids enjoy singing. Add the two songs below
for some fun. The first song, you sing the first line and they copy you with a
response. You can sing any tune – in tune or out of tune is not s big issue.

Kids Message

Yummy! Do you ice-cream? What about a good apple? I enjoy apples all
sorts of ways – caramel apples, baked apple pie with vanilla ice-cream on
top, and MacDonald’s apple pies that only cost 2 for $1.00. They are pretty
good. A few times, I have made a homemade apple cake that is full of lots
of brown sugar. Mmmm….good!

There was one time when someone was very sad that they ate an apple.
Remember the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden. God had placed
them in a beautiful garden full of all kinds of fruit trees, flowers, animals,
shrubs, birds, and about anything that you can imagine! God told them to
eat all they wanted, but they were NOT to eat of one tree in the garden.

One day, Eve was walking by this special tree when Satan came along and
suggested that she try it. At first, she refused then after Satan persisted;
she gave in and took a piece from the tree. She then ran to give Adam a
bite. Adam was upset that Eve had disobeyed God, yet he also tasted the
fruit.

After they both had eaten the fruit, they realized they needed to get some
clothes on. Their eyes were opened in a new and wise way from eating this
special fruit.

God decided to take a walk in the evening and called out to them. They
were ashamed and frightened because they had disobeyed God and hid
from him. They were embarrassed because they did not have clothes. God
found them in the garden, and made them leave this nice place he had
made for them. Since they had disobeyed, GOD was not happy! When we
disobey God, we will be unhappy with us, too! We must ask His help every
day so that we will please Him in all we do and say.

Drama: Angie’s Cooking Outcome

Puppets: Angie & Mother

Angie: Mother, may I bake something today?

Mother: Angie, I need to clean up this kitchen, before I even think about
doing any baking. Why don’t you help me?

Angie: Yuck! I don’t like to clean up the kitchen. It isn’t any fun washing
dishes.

Mother: When you bake something you have to clean up your mess. How
would the kitchen look and smell if it was full of dirty dishes.

Angie: Well, if you put it like that -- I’ll guess I’ll help – only for a short
while. I promised Andy that I would help build his airplane model.

Mother: Andy seems to be doing all right in there. He really likes doing
those models. I don’t know where we will find a place to put them all if he
keeps building them this fast.

Mother: Angie, only use a small amount of that detergent.

Angie: Oh. My! This water is sure bubbling up high.

Mother: Remember what I just told you? That will happen of you use too
much dishwashing liquid.

Angie: What kind of cookies can we make? I love chocolate chip. I want to
put in a lot of chocolate chips.

Mother: We have almost a whole bag left. Are you about through with those
dishes?
Angie: Whew! I’m sure that job is done. I hate to wash dishes. Mother,
where is the bowl to mix the flour and sugar?

Mother: It is under the sink. Use a large bowl so the mixture does not spill
out while you are stirring it.

Angie: Ok, here goes…I will add salt, milk, butter, eggs, soda, baking
powder, and then the chips.

Mother: You do not want to forget the sugar. We will have some cookies
that aren’t very tasty.

Angie: Oh, mother of course I will not forget. - Let me see. - Now stir 50
times and drop onto the pan. Bake in preheated pan for 12 minutes. - I
have the first batch in the oven. Just wait until Andy taste my cookies. They
will be the best!

Mother: My they do look good. Wait until they have cooled and Andy may
eat one. Be sure to give him a glass of milk. Mmmm! Those smell delicious.

Angie: They look like they are done baking now! I want to try one first. Andy
is busy with his airplane.

Mother: They do look delicious. I think I will try one with you, Angie.

Angie: Yuck! Blblbllblblblblblb…….something is wrong. They are bitter!

Mother: Angie, did you add the sugar?

Angie: Oh, no! I forgot.

Mother: Remember, I reminded you to add the sugar.

Angie: I was too busy and did not listen to you. These are awful. They will
have to go in the garbage.

Mother: You know this reminds me of a Bible verse. “Oh taste and see that
the Lord is good.”

Angie: What do you mean?

Mother: Well, when we read God’s Word and listen to his voice we will
have a sweet taste in our hearts and mouth. It is only when we fail to read
God’s Word and obey that we have a bitter attitude about life and things
around us.

Angie: Oh, I see! I did not listen to you carefully and my own way got in the
way of doing the right thing. I made a stupid mistake all because I did not
listen to you,

Mother: That is ok. We all make mistake sometimes. It is how we learn

from these mistakes that will help us do better the next time.

Angie: Thank you so much mother. I sure will remember this lesson today.

Mother: We will see. We will see. © Kidzministry.net Jeanne McIntosh. May 24, 2007. All

Adam and Eve Skit

Adam: What are you going to do today?

Eve: I think I will take a walk in the garden?

Adam: I think I will rest here beside this big lion today. (Lies down on
stuffed lion)

Eve: I’ll take monkey with me and be back later. (Walks always)

Eve: Hmmmm! What a beautiful day it is. I wonder why God does not want
us to eat from that one tree in the garden. It looks so harmless.

Satan’s Voice: Why not try a piece. I don’t think one small fruit will hurt you.

Eve: But God did say NOT to eat from the tree, or we will die.

Satan’s Voice: God does not want you to be wise like He is. Just try it and it
see what happens. Here is a really small one that looks good.

Eve: Well………….it does not look harmful. Maybe I will try one bite.
Satan’s Voice: That’s the spirit. Go ahead.

Eve: Mmmm. This is good. I will share it with Adam. (Runs to Adam)

Eve: Adam: Wake up! (Shakes Adam awake)

Adam: What is it Eve? What is all the fuss about?

Eve: Here taste this. It is so good. (Hands Adam an apple)

Adam: Where did you get that? Did you eat form the tree that God told us
not to eat form?

Eve: Well……just one small fruit is all. It did not hurt me. See….I am still
alive. I don’t’ even feel sick?

Adam: You disobey God. Now we are in BIG trouble.

Eve: Try it! It is so good and I am just fine.

Adam: Well….I do not like this one bit. (Takes a bit) Hmmmm...it IS pretty
good. (Takes a bite)

Eve: Oh dear, what happened to us. I need some clothes to cover me.

Adam: This is not good. What have we done?

Eve: Let’s go hide. I hear God coming. (Both run off and hide behind a
large couple chairs)

Voice: Adam! Eve! Where are you?

Adam: we are hiding because we ate of the fruit that this women make me
eat.

Voice: You will both have to leave the garden now.

Eve: Satan made me do it.

Voice: Because you both disobeyed you will leave this garden – now!

Eve; I should not have listened to Satan. He was wrong and tricked me.
Adam: You are right Eve, and I should not have listened to you. From now
on, we will never be able to come back to this garden ever again. Let us
leave as God told us to. (Exit)
