EXPERIENCE
Staring Lane Extension Phase I, (Burbank Drive-LA 42 to Highland Road)
Design and preparation of final plans including base and final right of way maps
to extend Staring Lane to Burbank Drive. The scope of the Staring Lane Extensi
on project was to construct a new four-lane and five-lane curb and gutter roadwa
y with sidewalks and subsurface drainage. Also, the project improves the condit
ions on Highland Road with the addition of left turn lanes at the intersection o
f Staring Lane and Highland Road. This project also included a full extensive p
reliminary and final design study as well as the construction of noise barriers
along Highland Creek Subdivision, a quad beam bridge crossing Bayou Fountain, an
d channel re-alignment of Bayou Fountain. Responsible for the design study and
the design and project management throughout the final design stages.
State Route in Dry Prong, US Highway 167, TIMED Project
Design and preparation of preliminary and final plans, which includes the wideni
ng of US 167 to a 5-lane urban curb and gutter section with subsurface drainage
for approximately 2 miles. Responsible for geometric design, subsurface drainag
e design, quantity tabulation, and project management throughout the preliminary
and final design stages.
Milam Drive, US 84 (SH 14 to McKinney St.)
Design and preparation of schematic layout which includes the widening of US 84
to a 5-lane urban curb and gutter section with subsurface drainage for approxima
tely 0.5 miles. The project also includes the design and replacement of a histo
rical bridge spanning over the Union Pacific Railroad. Responsible for typical
sections, geometric design, horizontal and vertical alignment, phase bridge cons
truction, and traffic control.
Old Hammond Highway, LA 426 (US 61 to Millerville Rd.)
Design and preparation of preliminary and final plans which includes the widenin
g of LA 426 to a 5-lane urban section for approximately 6.0 km. The roadway con
sists of four 3.6 m travel lanes and one 4.3 m continuous turn lane with curb an
d gutter sections along with subsurface drainage. The project also includes the
design of several major and minor intersections. Responsible for drainage desi
gn, graphical grades, striping plan, and quantity tabulation.
Bluebonnet Boulevard Extension, LA 1248 (Nicholson Dr. to Burbank Dr.)
Design and preparation of preliminary and final plans which includes the widenin
g of Bluebonnet Blvd. to a 4-lane and 5-lane urban section for approximately 2.5
miles and the widening of Bluebonnet Blvd. Extension to a 4-lane urban roadway
with a raised median, curb and gutter sections, and subsurface drainage for appr
oximately 2.5 miles. The project also includes the design of two isolated semi-
actuated traffic signals at its intersections with Nicholson Dr. (LA 30) and Bur
bank Dr. (LA 42). Responsible for the geometric design, drainage design, and tr
affic signal design which includes traffic signal layout, timing, phasing, clear
ance charts, loop assignments, and all traffic signal inventory (TSI) forms as w
ell as quantity tabulation.
North Sherwood Forest Drive (S. Choctaw Dr. to LA 37 - Greenwell Springs Rd.)
Design and preparation of preliminary plans which includes the widening of North
Sherwood Forest Dr. to a 5-lane urban curb and gutter section with subsurface d
rainage for approximately 1.5 miles. The project also includes the design of se
veral major and minor intersections. Responsible for typical sections, geometri
c design, horizontal and vertical alignment, and drainage design.
LA 8, US 171 to LA 28
Design and preparation of preliminary and final plans which includes a proposed
2-lane rural roadway with a depressed median that is located north of the existi
ng LA 8. The final product creates a 4-lane, 2-way rural roadway extending appr
oximately 6.2 miles. The project also consists of some light subsurface drainag
e design along with curb and gutter sections. The project also includes the des
ign of several major and minor intersections as well as several State highway in
tersections. Responsible for geometric design of intersections, erosion control
, striping details, and quantity tabulation.
Groom Road Improvements
Design and preparation of preliminary and final plans which includes the widenin
g of Groom Rd. to a 3-lane urban curb and gutter section with subsurface draina
ge to the intersection of Plank Rd. Responsible for typical sections, geometric
design, drainage design, headwall design, utility relocation, quantity tabulati
on, and construction administration of the entire project.
