Plant Controller
Responsible for all financial related activities of a manufacturing plant with a
nnual revenues of $200MM. Duties include forecasting, budgeting, month end clos
e, financial reporting, internal audits, inventory control, cost control and ana
lysis, financial analysis, monthly board of director reports, collateral audits,
and project management. Ensure controls are in place for all plant spending; en
sure that each financial function and task is documented with detailed work inst
ructions. Ensure that all monthly financial reporting is accurate and in compli
ance with generally accepted accounting procedures. Ensure plant inventories of
finished goods and chemicals are accurate and properly reported on financials.
Ensure property tax renditions are accurate and work with county tax assessor t
o develop reasonable taxable basis for property. Submit quarterly sales tax, to

and project management. Compile and submit all production statistics to the Mar
ket Administrator and U.S.D.A. Oversee all direct and indirect expenditures and
compliance to the Plant's annual operating plan. Ensure that all monthly finan
cial reporting is accurate and in compliance with generally accepted accounting
procedures. Ensure plant inventories of finished goods and expendable supplies
are accurate and reported correctly on monthly financials. Oversee, control, and

Responsible for the maintenance and oversight of all company accounting transact
ions. This includes monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, monthly
reconciliations of inter-company accounts, and all inter-company monthly and qua
rterly financial reporting. These duties also include inter-company and externa
l accounts receivable, accurate corporate financial statements, auditing of inte
rnal processes for Sarbanes Oxley compliance, product costing, product pricing,
financial analysis of plant performance, analysis and return on investment of ca
pital projects, and support for plant initiatives such as cost reductions and Si
x Sigma projects.

Successful start up of business in Roswell, New Mexico providing superior custom
er service and maintenance services to the City of Roswell, New Mexico for their
fleet of 575 vehicles including Fire, Police, Landfill, Sanitation, Parks, Wate
r, Sewer, Streets and Administration. Responsible for overall quality of mainte
nance services and repairs, implementation and oversight of the City of Roswell'
s preventive maintenance program, hiring and development of employees, daily saf
ety presentations and adherence to company safety guidelines for two locations,
ensure compliance with environmental guidelines, customer relations and conflict
resolution, and monitoring and achievement of key performance measures. Super
vised 16 technicians, 4 administrative positions.

Director of Finance/Treasurer
Implemented plant budget, standard cost system, set up import/export business wi
th Chinese Manufacturers, managed $13.5MM line of credit, reduced overall costs
by 10% not adjusted for inflation over a 3 year period. These reductions were e
nabled through strict budget adherence, which increased efficiencies and improve
d material utilization. Managed total annual sales of $32.5MM and annual produc
tions of 55MM units, consisting of over 400 stock keeping units. Maintained ban
king relationship and ensured compliance with loan covenants and semi-annual col
lateral audits. Approved and monitored all new accounts for credit worthiness a
nd offset credit risk with appropriate financial tools. Hedged foreign letter o
f credit transactions to ensure that currency fluctuations did not affect the bo
ttom line. Supervised 1 CPA, 5 accounting personnel, and the facility maintenan
ce staff, which included 4 employees.

Improved overall bill of material accuracy to 99.5%. Restructured complete comp
any BOM and all RPO's (regular production options), and SPO's (special productio
n options). Converted BOM to add only format per Volvo standards. Verified all
engineering releases for completeness, accuracy, and manufacturability. Review
ed each new customer sales orders for differences against our existing option st
ructure, identified differences between sales specification and existing options
and directed the engineering department to revise, amend, or create new options
to satisfy customer sales order requirements. Responsible for ensuring that th
ese changes were coordinated and scheduled for release within the engineering de
partment to ensure that releases were complete in a timely manner to allow purch
asing adequate lead time to source the parts to enable the plant to meet our pro
duction schedule.

Successfully priced 35 contracts with a combined value to the company of $425MM.
Identified shortfalls in bid process and successfully identified solutions to
increase accuracy of costing by utilizing effective post build profitability ana
lysis, which I developed. I then presented those results to senior management t
o allow changes in administrative and manufacturing practices to generate cost s
avings for the plant and ensure that future builds would be more efficient and p
rofitable.

27% cost reduction not adjusted for inflation over a three year period. Control
led all finance and administrative functions for two plants, Albuquerque, N.M./5
01M and Roswell, N.M./549M which consisted of 1,500 employees, and 24 direct rep
orts, including Human Resources, A/P, A/R, Inventory Control, Materials, System
Administrator, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting, and Plant Maintenance. Combi
ned total plant budgets of $60MM. Total production of 8.5MM units annually. R
esponsible for budget preparation and compliance, and maintenance of the plant's
standard cost system and development of cost standards as well as all financial
functions.
