Seminar on Human Capital Development

Prime Minister of Malaysia has stressed the

importance of people and citizens as a
determinant of survival of the country. Thus the
method of enhancing the human capital of
excellence should be conferred thoroughly.

Academics comes together especially to discuss

the methods that can develop the human capital
to achieve excellence. All the research and
planning should be presented, gathered and
discussed so that eventually it could be useful
materials to help those who are responsible for
policy formulation and administration of the country reached the level of excellence in human capital. Thus,
SEMINAR ON HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT 2011 is commenced.

PURPOSES OF SEMINAR
1. Creating medium of gathering and meeting between researchers and policy makers to discuss the internal
and regional issues of human capital development to achieve excellence.

2. Helping to create a consciousness on the issues, forces of change and breakthroughs in the development of
human capital to produce impact, and feasible future impact of social change that will help faced by young generation.

3. Develop recommendations for the planning and the resolution to build human capital generation of young
people who excel in the world and the hereafter.

PARTICIPANTS
About 150 participants are expected to take part in this seminar. They consist of the officers of the Ministry.
Youth and Sports Ministry. Higher Education, State Education Ministry, JPA, public and private institutions,
within and outside the country. Apart from academics, representatives of non-governmental organizations
are also expected to participate in this seminar.

PRESENTATIONS
Presentation and Intellectual discourse will cover key issues related to human capital development. Among
them are:

i) Human Capital Development Community Development

ii) Human Capital Excellence; Opportunity and Challenges
iii) The Role of Community in Human Capital Excellence
iv) Human Capital Development in Islamic Perspective
v) The Challenge of Human Capital Management in Higher Learning Institutions
vi) Others topics and issues related to Human Capital Development

THE ABSTRACT AND FULL PAPER

All submission types require an abstract in the first instance. The Abstract should be a minimum of 300 and
no more than 500 words including up to five keywords and key phrases to be received by 30th August 2011,

Full Paper will only be required when the abstract has been selected and not to be more than 5,000 words
including abstract, keywords and references (the Harvard referencing rules need to be followed). Submission
date will be no later than 30th September 2011. Papers should be submitted as .doc or .rtf file attachments by
