In my 16+ years of employment at SNL, I have been given the opportunity to work
and grow in a variety of positions during which the company has grown from 45 em
ployees in 3 locations, to over 1,300 employees in 10 locations world-wide.
Travel Manager (2006-2010)
Manage, monitor and oversee global staff in areas of travel research, procuremen
t, policy documentation and implementation, invoice reconciliation and industry
analysis. Through negotiated rates and discount programs, we realized an averag
e cost savings of over $100K per year since 1999.
* Interview, hire, provide on-going remote training and manage 4 global staff me
mbers located in SNL's India and Pakistan offices in all aspects of travel procu
rements and company policies.
* Daily monitoring of staff to ensure that monies are being spent appropriately,
in the most cost effective manner.
* Negotiate yearly contracts with local vendors in various office locations for
Corporate Lodging, car services and airline discounts.
* Research and prepare business cases for booking tool and reconciliation tools.
* Act as 24/7 on call agent for any and all travelers.
* Provide quality analytics for cost savings.
* Provide daily back up duties to Travel team as outlined in Senior Travel Coord
inator position.
Senior Travel Coordinator (1998 to 2006)
By assessing opportunities through Frequent Flyer programs, Internet sites and t
he available corporate discount programs, we have been able to achieve and avera
ge per year cost savings of over $100K since 1998.
* Research, purchase and document all travel arrangements.
* Provide in depth travel itineraries, including schedules, meetings, costs, dir
ections, local instructions for 200 + travelers on more than 1,200 trips per yea
r.
* Implement and document of all travel policies and procedures on our internal w

* Maintain financial tracking and analysis of travel trends and costs.

Notably from May 2001 to January of 2002, I acted as interim Supervisor for both
the Front Office/Reception and Travel Departments, until a new Office Manager c

Purchasing Agent for Travel and Print (1998-1999)
* Negotiate printing contracts, making sure that costs and fulfillment needs wer
e met.
* Research potential new vendors to keep printing costs in line.

Marketing Associate (Direct Mail and Fax Marketing) (1995-1998)
Through our fax and direct marketing efforts, we generated more than 1 million d
ollars in revenue in 1997.
