The U.S. Navy's Submarine Sonar System employment expert. As chairman of the Aco
ustic Concept of Operations Support Group, represents the operational Submarine
Force at various sonar system advancement working groups, ensuring strict adhere
nce to development requirements. Develops written employment and tactical guidan
ce on new sonar systems for use on three different submarine classes.
* Served as embarked U.S. representative onboard the Italian Submarine Sc
ire during coordinated foreign tactical exercises.
* Specifically noted by the Squadron Commodore for innovation, energy, an
d planning, continuously able to represent higher levels of leadership to numero
us sonar system contractors.
* Selected by the Commander of Fleet Forces Command to be the only Naval

ASSISTANT CHIEF ENGINEER
65 crew member department. Served as a mentor and role model to the other Junior
Officers onboard, contributing to the rapid qualification and excellent knowled
ge level of these personnel. Contributed to the overhaul of the Engineering Depa
rtment Training Program, resulting in increased level of knowledge, operational
performance, and crew interest in nuclear propulsion.

* Awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for direct impact on ship's success
in several tactical, operational, and engineering evaluations.

sion and Electrical Systems. Lead a watch team of 9 in the safe operation of a $
700 million nuclear reactor plant during missions vital to national security.
* Awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for consistent positive leadership a
nd emphasis on training and procedural compliance in all nuclear related matters
within his watch team and Division.
* One of four officers selected to serve as Engineering Officer of the Wa
tch during a 6 month deployment.
* Personally ensured strict adherence to quality assurance standards for
maintenance on all nuclear propulsion machinery, resulting in 100% deployment re
adiness.
