Recruited to grow this subsidiary of ArmorWorks, a privately held manufacturer o
f military body armor, aircraft armor, and vehicle armor. Had responsibility for
the entire company, including operations, engineering, sales, and finance. Over
saw 50 employees. Prior to being hired, the company was running at a net loss.
Overall Results: Succeeded in making the company profitable. Increased sales by
over 100% in the first year by identifying growth markets and actively pursuing
new customers. Developed the company's first strategic plan, including sets of g
oals and objectives, sales forecasts, and financial analyses. Brought new vision

Responsibility for 160 employees in two separate production facilities for famil
y-owned company with operations in California, Arizona, and Nevada, and customer
s nationwide. Project lead on major accounts and supervised project managers on
jobs in excess of $1 million.
Hired to implement a soup-to-nuts overhaul of the company's inventory management
and production turnaround time. Prior to being hired, the company's fulfillment
of orders was untimely and well below industry standards.
Overall Results: Slashed cycle time in half (from 12 to 6 weeks) by introducing
just-in-time techniques to the manufacturing process. Installed an MRP (material
requirements planning) system that improved inventory accuracy and job costing,
gaining efficiencies in "bucket size" among operational segments. These improve
ments enabled the company to work on larger and more profitable high-profile pro
jects.

Production Increases * Doubled production output by adding off shifts and buildi

Growth and Acquisition * Acted as the marketing manager for a developer of a pro

orldwide leader in the belting industry. Habasit's affiliates are fully owned, a
nd each company has its own inventory, fabrication, assembly and service facilit
ies. Responsible for 150 employees.
Overall Results: Built two new major fabrication centers, which were completed o
n time and under budget. These centers were more efficient than their predecesso
rs, yielding a productivity improvement of 20%. Reduced costs considerably throu
gh the savvy formation of partnerships with suppliers, the development of innova
tive manufacturing techniques, and quality control improvements.
Selected Achievements:
Inventions and Innovations * Developed the method and established the need for u
sing an anti-microbial agent in an original equipment product. This method was p
atented and created a successful new product line with sales in excess of $5 mil
lion, and led to the company's acquisition by the parent corporation.
* Invented a unique method of belting manufacture, which was also patented and i
mproved labor efficiencies by more than 50%.
