Certified in Board Operator and outside jobs. Participated on a team to review a
new a work process, which would include the introduction of a large spherical s
torage tank whose contents would need to be kept cold. This system would be link
ed to an existing operating system where a single compressor would not be adequa
te to support both processes. Made a suggestion that a cascade system be put int
o place where a second compressor be added in sequence to manage both. Managemen
t approved the process and implementation occurred resulting in a successful ope
ration. The end result was significant cost savings to the company due to the av
oidance of purchasing a larger capacity single compressor.
Recommended a change in an existing work process to fill rail tank cars. Designe
d a new platform and wrote up a work order for fabrication. The new platform was
placed into service and included handrails all around to prevent potential fall
s and on the job injuries.

Reviewed an existing work process and made a suggestion for replacement of exist
ing rail car fill hoses with retractable fill hoses. The recommendation was appr
oved by management and integrated into the work process. The end result was an e
rgonomically safer hand held fill hose ensuring less opportunity for safety inci
dence.
Reviewed an existing work process and developed a check sheet to be included in
a plant operations weekly schedule, providing a basis for better maintenance of
