X-City 250/125
The Art of Engineering

At Yamaha, we aspire to create exciting machines for this fast-moving world. To look into the future and
find ways of making life better for our customers. To create dynamic and inspirational machines which fit
seamlessly into our lives and bring freedom, fun and fulfilment to us all. We invest passion into everything we
build by focusing on jewel-like ‘small engineering.’ It’s a philosophy of precision and perfectionism that has
generated a spectacular 50-year stream of two-wheeled innovation.

Making scooters is a skill, but making scooters like the sophisticated X-City work beautifully is an art.
The art of engineering.
Iideast’sX-City
no exaggeration to say that the
250/125 shatters old-fashioned
about personal transport. The precision
and stability of its high-wheeled ride
(16inch front/15inch rear) is one of the most
significant advances. The feeling of rider
security is remarkable. Better yet, you don’t
lose any of the effortless manoeuvrability
you’d rightly expect from any scooter.
X-City 250/125’s liquid-cooled four-stroke
engines, brings an air of relaxed refinement
to the often frantic city riding experience.
Traffic gaps are easily exploitable thanks to
the slender frontal aspect of the freshly-styled
bodywork. Protection from the elements isn’t
compromised, however; you’ll be amazed
how little wind and rain gets past the new
adjustable windscreen. Its practical too with
a glovebox, underseat storage and on the
X-City 250 there’s a new rear rack to transport
unexpected items. No matter how wet or
dark the streets are, confidence-inspiring
front and rear disc brakes, high-visibility
twin headlights and twin taillights give you
plenty of presence. Is the X-City a scooter
revolution? We think so.

Information with a sporty edge:
well-stocked red-backlit instrument
panel is as classy as it is useful.

The lockable glove box (with integral

ticket holder) is perfect for storing small
items needed close to hand.

Under the seat there’s a storage

locker for a jet helmet, business bag
or loads of shopping.

Passengers are amply catered for

with stylish grab rails, a sculpted seat
and generous fold down foot pegs.

Manage the elements and your

view forward with the new adjustable
perspex screen.
Flexibility and quick responses are useful scooter
attributes, not just in an urban environment but out
of town too. Mated to a beautifully cushioned auto
transmission, the fuel-injected X-City 250 engine turns
high torque into action from very low engine speeds.
Your non-riding downtime is kept to an minimum by the
long-range 10.5-litre tank, and the engine is fully EU3
emissions-compliant, too. It all adds up to heavyweight
performance with a light footprint.
