otive industry. Working with SQA engineering I was able to establish ISO quality

my objective was to obtain new business through project development and enginee
r our products into key fastening areas of the program vehicle. These engineeri

As sales engineer for Detroit automotive group my key objective was to increas
e sales through new product development, material control and purchasing. Work
ed with automotive fastener engineering, process engineers at the OEM plant leve
l, project engineers on new programs and purchasing.

Major Accomplishments:
Through extensive travel to various Chrysler and General Motors plants and worki
ng with plant process engineers. I was able to see and fix fastening assembly l
ine problems and installation problems. Thus increasing sales 30% to those plant
s.
Developed and designed blind rivets to solve GE robotic assembly line problems (
Adrian Assembly Plant GM). Increased sales at GM of 35% due to large rivet volu
me for this program.
Worked on new programs for Chrysler through Creative Ind. and Modern Engineering
Inc. Thus increasing sales 40% for special designed rivets.
Working with Chrysler fastener engineering developed a special rivet for door re
gulator attachments. Rivets replacing lock screws and thus increasing sales ano
ther 25%.

Manufacturer of Tinnerman stamped fasteners for industrial and automotive applic
ations. Managed sales for all tier suppliers and distributors for the Detroit au
tomotive market. Worked with and helped design stamped fasteners for project en
gineering for automotive suppliers throughout Michigan. Managed, guided and trai
ned our distributors on product knowledge and assigned specific customers to di
stribution based on sales volume.
Major Accomplishments:
Organized and implemented a sales plan for covering the state of Michigan. Usin
g distributors to manage the smaller volume companies and developing sales with
higher volume users.
Identifying and working with outside engineering services that supply designs fo
r various vehicle platforms for major OEM manufactures (GM, Ford, Chrysler).
Increased sales 50% to distributors by training sales personnel and assigning t
hem new customers to manage and service.
A 35% increase in sales for new designed specialty fasteners (non-standards) aut
omotive.
2nd year I was assigned to Ford Motor as sales engineer for body and assembly.
Increased sales at Ford Motor by 30% with the design of a prevailing torque inst
rument panel nut to resist vibration (Ford squeak & rattle Group). Including th
e redesign and replacement of cold headed threaded nuts for single thread stampe
d speed nuts (Ford Cost savings).
