I am a hands-on professional who assures operational success and
growth through the development, integration and improvement of
Quality Management Systems through leadership and collaboration with
multi-functional entities. I have extensive experience in both
device-build and continuous process manufacturing models. I also have
cross functional experience in production, procurement, materials
management, product development, metrological applications and
financial auditing. Colleagues recognize me for my skills in team

ISO9001 BASED QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT
a" Directed the development, augmentation and integration in two
organizations (Arlon, Inc and FARO) on both on a site-specific and
global operational basis. Achieved and maintained certifications in 5
FARO manufacturing locations in the Americas, Europe and Singapore.
ISO17025 CALIBRATION LABORATORY COMPETENCY AND MANAGEMENT a"
Achieved accreditation of FARO calibration laboratories in primary
manufacturing as well as secondary service facilities in the Americas
(3), Europe (2) and Asia-Pacific (4).
QS-9000 (TS16949) TOOLING AND EQUIPMENT SUPPLEMENT QMS AUTOMOTIVE
REQUIREMENTS a" Created and established system at SMX Corp from
initial concept through integration and ultimate certification.
INITIATED CORPORATE INITIATIVES IN RELIABILITY ENGINEERING a"
Introduced and implemented HALT and HASS testing into FARO Laser
Tracker development process reducing field failures to 1/3 previous
levels and eliminating DOA's.
QUALITY FUNCTIONAL LEAD ON OPERATIONAL TEAMS ESTABLISHED TO TRANSFER
AND INTEGRATE TWO PRODUCT LINES INTO ARLON'S DELAWARE FACILITY a"
Transferred and integrated a competitive PTFE Laminate product line
from Columbia, MO (3M) while successfully maintaining established
customers and achieving an increase in sales of 50%. Also was
Operations Manager in the relocation of Arlon's carbon-loaded foam,
anechoic materials business from Portsmouth, NH to Delaware.
DEVELOPED SUPPLIER QUALIFICATION, RATING, AND MANAGEMENT PROCESSES -
Conducted Supplier Audits Domestic and Internationally for FARO.
CAREER HISTORY:
FARO TECHNOLOGIES, INC., KENNETT SQUARE, PA AND LAKE MARY, FL.
FARO develops, builds and markets computer-aided measuring devices
and software for creating digital 3D models. The equipment enables
highly precise 3D measurements, 3D comparisons of small and large
parts and components for translation directly into production,
inspection, factory planning, and as-built documentation.
8/08 to 5/10 DIRECTOR, TOTAL QUALITY a" FARO LASER DIVISION,
KENNETT SQUARE, PA - Responsible for Laser Tracker and Kennett Square
quality and reliability improvement initiatives, included 5S and Lean
initiatives for the calibration processes. Also, responsible for QC
and Calibration Laboratories.
8/05 to 7/08 DIRECTOR, TOTAL QUALITY - LAKE MARY, FL a" Responsible
for corporate QMS improvements and compliance as well as quality
control and calibration processes of three product lines assembled
and serviced globally. Also led Dashboard Metric maintenance and
improvements.
1/02 to 7/05 MANAGER, TOTAL QUALITY - FARO LASER DIVISION, KENNETT
SQUARE, PA
Responsible for the integration and compliance of FARO-specific
quality systems and processes after the acquisition of SMX Corp by
FARO in January 2002. Also responsible for the overall quality and
calibration of the FARO Laser Tracker line.
SMX CORPORATION, KENNETT SQUARE, PA
SMX Laser Trackers were industry leaders accepted for their
portability, accuracy and reliability. FARO acquired SMX in January
2002.

8/00 to 1/02 DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS a" Directed Quality,

2/98 to 7/00 MANAGER, MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING AND QUALITY
ASSURANCE a" Led QS9000 certification initiative, developed
calibration processes and administered change management of product
reliability improvements for the Laser Tracker.
ARLON INC. a" MATERIALS FOR ELECTRONICS DIVISION, BEAR, DE
Arlon develops, manufactures and sells laminates and associated
materials for high performance, low loss PCBAs for use in frequency
dependent applications such as filters, couplers, low noise
amplifiers, power dividers, combiners and antennas, primarily meeting
the demands of the wireless communication market.
3/81 to 2/98 QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER - Assured, through
management, development and implementation of the required Quality
Systems and Procedures, the overall quality of plant products through
all phases of development, production and customer services.
7/96 to 10/96 PLANT MANAGER (INTERIM) a" Fulfilled duties in
addition to QA responsibilities until the position vacancy could be
filled. Responsible for 3 shift/ 6 day week operation. Unionized
workforce.
Prior to March 1981 I also held positions with Arlon Inc. (formerly
Keene Corporation) as MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR, QUALITY CONTROL
SUPERVISOR AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN.
