WORK HISTORY:
2004-2009 Indianapolis Casting Corp, Indianapolis IN
Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader for a foundry. This position included the Cor
e Room production, Melt Department and Molding Department. Duties included: dail
y job assignments, troubleshooting machine problems as well as ensuring preventa
tive maintenance programs were in compliance and maintained. Responsibilities in
cluded: Working with engineering on completing capital projects and dealing with
contractors and vendors to ensure reasonable pricing and on time completion of
projects. The foundry closed at the end of December 2009.
2001-2004 Grede Foundry, New Castle IN
Mechanical Maintenance for a foundry. I was the front-line supervisor for the ma
intenance team which included hydraulic and electrical technicians. I worked wit
h my team in a "hands on" capacity both directing and instructing. My duties inc
luded: daily assignment lists and weekend assignment scheduling. I was responsib
le for troubleshooting equipment, the direct repair of equipment, as well as sup
ervising the predictive and preventive maintenance of equipment. My responsibili
ties included: daily meetings with management. I also set up outside contractors
for projects and dealt with vendors. I participated in ongoing training classes
both in management and safety such as OSHA.

t. Other duties involved participation in daily meetings with production and wee

ntact with outside contractors and vendors. I was responsible for the set up and
implementation of preventative maintenance programs as well as projects for shu

I was hired into the Plant Management program. After successful completion of th
is program, I became the Assistant Maintenance Supervisor.
I was promoted to Maintenance Supervisor. I held this position for six years. I
supervised a maintenance department of twenty six people and was responsible for
maintenance of the production machines, equipment and buildings. My duties incl
uded: troubleshooting various mechanical, plumbing and electrical problems.My re
sponsibilities included: maintenance shut-downs, as well as the planning and imp
lementation of projects. The CEO/owner decided to retire and closed the mill in
Dec. 1997.

raining while in the service. I performed maintenance repairs on the operation s
team-driven turbines, generators and pumps. I received an honorable discharge af
ter serving four years.
