Privately owned and operated optometrist's office specializing in
both eyeglasses and contact lenses; only area optometrist to accept
state subsidized Medicare/Medicaid; operations supported by 7
employees.
Operations Assistant
Facilitated progressive shutdown in operations with responsibility
for sorting and identifying data files and documentation for storage,
distribution (to other optometrists) and destruction (consistent with
federal and state laws effecting tax records; communicated with
patients, insurance companies and vendors providing information
regarding office operating status.
* Ensured organization avoided fines and penalties as well as
facilitated closing process and post-closing affairs through
effective organization of information by patient files, insurance
documents and vendor documents; maintained project timeline and
reduced need for company to continue paying for specialize database
system/program.

Non-profit arm of campaign informed voters on Issue 3 (casino
issue); statewide organization operated in 7 locations including
Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Toledo, Akron, and Canton.
Information Representative
Circulated local neighborhoods and utilized telecommunications to
poll and interview voters as well as provide counter negative
perceptions and insight into benefits to state of Ohio and
communities on results of passing Issue 3; also worked to inform and
register voters for absentee ballots.
* Successfully registered several voters for absentee ballots and
contributed to passage of Issue 3; included majority of vote coming
from Summit and Stark Counties (areas of responsibility).
* Improved messaging and created more appealing campaign delivery
through strategic summarization and use of data learned during voter
interviews; information contributed to development and enhancements
of television and radio advertising.
* Consistently met canvassing requirements (placing phone calls and
accessing all addresses in time allotted to execute sessions);
efficiently and effectively covered all new territories only
partially previously canvassed.
* Utilized communication skills to counter negative perceptions of
Issue 3 as well as correctly inform voters on realities of negative
campaigning; communications both changed perspective on issue as well
as reinforced positive aspects projected through passage of Issue 3.
