Provided strategic and tactical leadership in support of Association's goals. W
orked directly with Board and various committees to achieve Association mission
and objectives. Ensured full complement of services including: membership acqui
sition, retention and services; committee organization, administration, and supp
ort; member and community education including community awards and scholarships.
Oversaw and maintained By-laws, elections and corporate records; personnel a
nd benefits administration; membership data base; and, industry legislative and
regulatory review and analysis.

Vice President, Human Resources Director 1987 - 1994
Served as corporate Human Resources Director for $1.8 billion, 800-employee fina
ncial institution with eight subsidiaries in two states with 1,200 employees tot
al. Researched, developed, and built comprehensive Human Resources policies and
programs. Ensured full complement of consistently outstanding services in supp
ort of the organization's objectives. Programs and services included: employee
relations, recruiting, education and training, benefits, executive and employee
compensation, and payroll.
* Orchestrated and conducted the 50% downsizing of the corporation with no succe
ssful legal challenges.
* Coordinated the elimination of 17 employee benefits including the termination
of the defined benefit pension plan in order to recover $2 million in overfundin
g.

Deputy Auditor 1986 - 1987


Led internal audit staff in all financial audits and internal control reviews.
Prepared and co-presented all reports to the Audit Committee of the Board of Dir
ectors. Oversaw reconstruction of a failed data processing conversion with a $53
million exposure and recovered all but $33,000.

nd reports prepared and submitted to management.
