SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
* Supply Chain Analyst - Verified the line of balance requirements supported the
FAI build and all special processes were complete on material supplied to the o
ff-shore facility. Tracked all material shipments from this facility thru receip
t and stock at the off shore location, submitted plan to source special processe
s and machined parts in India. Identified tooling, molds and test fixtures neces
sary for production build.
* Production Control - Entered Master Schedules and balanced production lines ba
sed on capacity planning and work center loading. Worked with numerous MRP syst
ems and maintained and controlled Bill of Material (BOM).
* Purchasing - Negotiated major supply and service blanket orders with as many a
s 40 blankets operating at one time. Purchased active and passive components, ra
w materials, subcontract assemblies, plastic and machined parts.
* Inventory Control - Assisted 3 different manufacturing concerns in implementin
g a JIT and MRP system. Ramped up one concern from 2 product lines and 150 assem
blers to 28 product lines and over 600 assemblers. Verified BOM's, prints and sp
ecifications were correct and released initial build packets to the floor.
* Financial/Budget Control - Provided sales forecasts, cost to complete and cost
at completion analysis for various programs.
* Inventory/Cost Reduction - Eliminated safety stock on one program saving $150,
000 monthly carryover and on another program reduced material content from 63% t
o 58% a $600,000 plus yearly reduction.
* Cross Functional Teams - Member of a cross functional team that implemented a
cost effective method to change specification control. This resulted in a 20% re
duction in receiving inspection rejects, reduced dock to stock time 50%, and sav
ed $50,000 per year.
