mounted on a ga|van|zed ohanne| w|th
a bypass b|ade oonneoted aoross the
top term|na|s of eaoh sw|toh.
The bypass b|ade oan be arranged for
e|ther r|ght hand or |eft hand operat|on.
One mount|ng ohanne| supports the
ent|re sw|toh for ease of |nsta||at|on and
uno|uttered appearanoe. The ohanne|
oan be e|ther oross arm mounted w|th
a baokstrap or bo|ted d|reot|y to a
ga|van|zed po|e mount|ng braoket.
A s||ver washer between the b|ade and
h|nge m|n|m|zes the poss|b|||ty of
b|nd|ng and assures ease of b|ade
movement even when the Type D73-
3P sw|toh |s |nsta||ed |n areas w|th h|gh
|eve|s of oontam|nat|on.
A|| sw|tohes have a pos|t|ve b|ade |ook
to prevent open|ng under h|gh
momentary ourrent. Easy open|ng |s
assured through pryout ass|st.
The bypass b|ade |s offset 30 from the
p|ane of the d|soonneot b|ades, so that
the bypass sw|toh oan be operated
when the sw|toh |s mounted vert|oa||y.
Operation: The norma| pos|t|on of the
3-pu|| OOR bypass sw|toh |s w|th the
bypass b|ade open and the two
d|soonneot sw|tohes o|osed. For
ma|ntenanoe, test|ng, repa|r or remova|
of the OOR, f|rst the bypass sw|toh |s
o|osed prov|d|ng a para||e| ourrent path
to the OOR. After the OOR |s opened,
both d|soonneot sw|tohes are opened.
Thus, serv|oe oont|nu|ty has been
ma|nta|ned and the OOR |s |so|ated
from the ||ne.
