This course is held for students in preparation for an toefl exam to get passing grade expected. At that time, who became a lecturer at Tofl Preparation course is Drs. Muhamad Thaufiq Pinat, MDP with lecturer code 5434. As usual, in the early start of new semester, 10 of the subjects that we take only two or three lecturer who attended the first meeting. Those present also and even then only to discuss the contract lectures or just tell stories only. For the first meeting was probably not until the time for a SKS. This has been I feel from the first time I set foot on campus. And it has been like a tradition for us that somehow I deleted it. Finally Mr Pinat lecturer who was the first time I met who did not have a tradition like that I told earlier. Mr. Pinat is a lecturer who opposed the habit of wasting time lecture at the beginning of the semester. Aloud Mr. Pinat say that it is a bad habit. Therefore, Mr. Pinat directly provide the course material at this first meeting. The first meeting with Mr. Pinat really fun. Mr. Pinat not cease to give motivation to us. He was very excited, speak out, her face was always happy, and he also has jokes that make the learning atmosphere is not tense. In the initial meeting, Mr. Pinat shows a video of short duration. Its contents are two men trying to build a bridge at the top of the cliff which aims to connect from one cliff to another cliff. They built the bridge with difficulty, after finishing it they can easily move from the left cliff to right cliff. Mr. Pinat told us to grasp the meaning of the video. After the video has finished playing, Mr. Pinat ask the meaning of the video one by one to us. Various

meanings have been presented too. And finally, we get a meaning, if we learn a new knowledge, from the beginning it would be very difficult, but if we want to try and want to continue practices it will be familiar and very easy to do. So, we should not give up about the new knowledge lern and we tried to study hard and keep practicing I believe we can. That's the first message given by Mr. Pinat to me and also friends. And at the end of that first meeting, Mr. Pinat seeking comment on how he teaches. We also got a turn to add comments. One comment from a friend that is, studying with Mr. Pinat not boring because in addition to discussing the course, Mr. Pinat too much to give advice or life lessons, both facing us now and for later life. In addition, Mr. Pinat is also very enthusiastic in teaching, so we are affected to the spirit. In teaching, Mr. Pinat always give our college materials that felt nice and easy to understand. After the lecture, Mr. Pinat always give us the task. Because the task is to review the exercise today's lesson. The tasks is given by Mr. Pinat should be we do with our own thoughts, and must develop the material in the task. We demanded creative in doing the task, we should display the duty creative and neat. One day, some of us do not carry the material lecteru Mr. Pinat was given by Mr. Pinat last week. The student who didnt carry their task is please to get out from the class. Mr. Pinat really doesnt like the students who come to campus to lecture but no preparation at all like we does not bring the material to be discussed on that day. We do not take time out from class materials for several minutes. Not longer after that Mr. Pinat gave us a chance for 5 minutes to copy of the lecture materials. After having material, Mr. Pinat please us to enter

his class. Mr. Pinat immediately asked us to make comments of this incident. One of us said "we can admit a mistake" and as students we should be full of preparation for the start of the course, either physical, such as preparation of lecture materials as well as the mental preparation required as preparation for the knowledge we learned earlier. Mr. Pinat was hotheaded, but he said the anger was because Mr. Pinat care and affection to us so we want to change themselves to better student as appropriate. In addition, Mr. Pinat also said that anyone who had studied with him is bound to have three advantages, that is intelligent and knowledgeable, disciplined, and had akhlaqul qarimah. First of all, who had studied with Mr. Pinat will be more intelligent and knowledgeable. Therefore, in the learning process with Mr. Pinat we were always treated to a wide range of knowledge which is very useful for us, whether in fact this present moment and the knowledge that we must master to cope with life in the future. Later, Mr. Pinat also has many verses rang the al-qur'an which contains advice, the commands and prohibitions from God to live a better life. In these verses we can take the knowledge of explicit and implicit. Mr. Pinat not only provide instruction regarding tofl preparation course. With the knowledge that Mr. Pinat want us all to be someone who is intelligent and insightful. Because the brain is intelligent and knowledgeable that we have, we can address the problems that arise around us well. We will be more understanding of the status of other people, so it can take good action. Mr. Pinat convey that the highest knowledge is " knowledge to understand". Mr. Pinat also said that one of the requirements for the smart is to learn, and learn it like pouring water into a bottle, that is the way little by little so as not to spill or a

lot is wasted. If we pour water into the bottle with the overall direct way, then the water will be spilled and a lot of wasted rather than entering the bottle. That is the parable given by Mr. Pinat to learn a good way. Second, who had studied with Mr. Pinat be more disciplined. Discipline is not only in terms of time but there are many other disciplines. Some examples of when to learn always wanted to sit in the front pew. It's also a discipline. Sitting on the bench for the front of the aims we are more focused on what is presented to us. Furthermore, the discipline of the mind. Later, Mr. Pinat very happy if before the time of college entrance, students are seated first in the class and read the lecture materials will be discussed that day while waiting for the lecturer to come. Finally, who had studied with Mr. Pinat will have akhlaqul qarimah. Mr. Pinat exemplifies how polite toward teachers or lecturers. However, Mr. Pinat also stressed that good manners should be done with a genuine and sincere without intent to seek the face or with rough language sycophant. Because manners are not sincere with the sincere will see the difference. In addition, Mr. Pinat also expressed how fulfilling prayer is good. Before the prayer we must understand first six issues, namely who is worshiped, who worship, what worship, when to worship, where worship, and where re-worship. That's three things that always emphasized by Mr. Pinat to us. Then Mr. Pinat also expressed that we as students can more actively in the lectures. We are not only active in the hours of lectures, but more active outside of school hours, like a diligent search of lectures from various sources. From the materials that we can study the material first before following the learning process with the professor.

Tofl learning is very useful to us. It is always delivered by Mr. Pinat. This Tofl not only to follow it, but this knowledge will be useful for us later. Mr. Pinat give examples of some of those new students who were later felt that the importance of understanding English. Mr. Pinat also never said that we recognizes that English is the language of the Jews. However, in Islamic teachings conveyed that "none of your business is your world. " Therefore, we learn it does not matter, because in today's world a person required understand, and master the English language. In teaching, Mr. Pinat seek how so that we can easily understand the material in teaching, although with a short time. Plus we learn when given a variety of stories or experiences that felt by Mr. Pinat own. Those experiences are experiences that educate and illustrate the life we will face in the future. What do we do now will determine how we will. It makes us not easily saturated. Mr. Pinat not only teach the course Tofl Preparation of this, but he has taught in almost every department in the Faculty of Engineering. It seems that Mr. Pinat have extensive knowledge. Mr. Pinat also someone who is busy with activities. However, Mr. Pinat able to divide and organize his time so that all of these activities can be performed well and no one should be abandoned. How busy Mr. Pinat with activities, but she always put her teaching activities campus. That's because he recognizes that the main task today is to teach. Mr. Pinat also teaches us to be neat in everything. For example it is suggested that we collect lecture materials that have been given in a folder. The goal for the materials durable, not separated or lost, and if necessary can be immediately obtained. Thus, we are better prepared to face college without the word "forget". During this time, we are still to be intelligent,

not able to understand English since from elementary, junior high and high school because they have not met with an intelligent teacher. More or less that is what we get for learning with Mr. Pinat in Toefl Preparation course. Hopefully, these sciences can be useful for us, both for today and for the foreseeable future, both earthly and afterlife. Amiin. Finally, we would like to thank Mr. Pinat.
