This month we officially kick off our relocation campaign, United: For God...For the Midlands... For the World. Our first event is Sunday, May 15, 4:00 p.m., at our new facility. It is a service you will not want to miss as we have our first communion. May 22 is Im All In Sunday as each of us will have the opportunity to make a commitment to be all in to reach the Midlands and the World for Christ. We will ask you to join us in committing to pray; committing to reach; committing to serve; and committing to invest. Our goal is to have no less than 500 adults commit to be all in with their time, talents, and treasures. On May 29 we will have a Memorial Day Weekend Cookout at the property (on our recreation fields) from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with activities for all ages. Then in June, we begin our Prayer Walks - praying for the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of thousands of people as we walk and pray through our neighborhoods. We will pray that they will have strong families, that they will be receptive to the gospel, and that the barriers that are keeping them from Christ will be torn down. We are about to see God fulfill what He started over 14 years ago. Dont miss out. Dont be in the bleachers. Dont be on the sidelines. Be all in. I know I am!

We have been making wonderful progress on our new facility! In March, we completed the steel erection on the first level, and we began laying out the interior walls. In April, we poured the slab for the second floor, and we completed fireproofing of the first floor. We began framing the interior walls on the first floor and fireproofing the second floor. Once the second floor fireproofing and first floor interior wall framing is complete, we will simultaneously begin hanging drywall on the first floor and framing interior walls on the second floor. Our projected dryin date is June 14, 2011. What an exciting time! When you drive by our construction site, please pray for Gods blessing on the project, for safety for all who are working there, and that we will be a witness for Christ to all of the subcontractors and workers who are involved with our project.
Prayer Walking
Pastor Rocky
We will have 200 teams of 2 adults each prayer walk the neighborhoods around our new facility, handing out door hangers and introducing Northside. As we walk we will pray for marriages to be strengthened, strongholds broken, and hearts open to hearing the good news of Jesus Christ. These prayer walks will lay the foundation for our ministry in this new location. We will meet at the property and prayer walk from 9-12:00. Childcare will be provided for birth-4 years.
As you can see, we have ambitious goals. We need 500 adults to commit to be UNITED with us to make these goals a reality. You might say that it cant be done. In our own power, it cant. But, with a God-sized vision comes Gods incredible provision.

On Sunday, May 1, we honored our Senior Adults. Senior Adults are a vital part of our church. Their tireless service and dedication to each other and the church, and their service in Gods kingdom both at home, in our state, nation, and around the world are an example for us all. Darlene Cox was given a Certificate of Blessing for her selfless service to her family, friends, church and community. All her family were on hand to celebrate with her. And our Silver Saints Singers topped off the day with a beautiful patriotic concert that evening. Thank you to all who made this special day one to remember.

The heart of Northside Christian Academy is to help children develop and apply a biblical worldview. At NCA, we believe the simplest approach is to follow the basic doctrines of Scripture. Textbooks and other materials should be shaped by the fundamental truths of Scripture. Doctrines such as Trinity, creation, sin, redemption, etc., should direct the approach of every subject. Because Biblical truth is the criterion of Christian curriculum, each subject should be understood as part of Gods comprehensive view of the universe. Gods truth must undergird and integrate the whole curriculum. Therefore, the gospel claims of Christ must be woven, like a thread, into the very fabric of the it. With this in mind, we have chosen curriculum from publishers such as Summit Ministries, Bob Jones Press, A Beka, and Veritas Press. As students grow and mature, it is our prayer they should grow in Godly wisdom and develop discernment from Scripture. They should be able to articulate a biblical worldview and defend it against false beliefs. Students should become skilled in communicating Gods truth to others. We believe that the Lord has led us to a curriculum that will produce these results. However, a curriculum is only as good as the teacher who delivers it. We have been very blessed with the number of applicants that have applied at NCA. The teachers that God has called to serve Him and the children of Northside Christian Academy are truly amazing! Our teachers are highly educated and come from varying degrees of experience and backgrounds. Each of our teachers have a wonderful testimony and are true followers of Jesus Christ. The teachers at NCA are committed to love and serve the children and families of Northside Christian Academy. We are continuing to register students at NCA. We have gotten wonderful feedback from students and parents regarding our program! One NCA parent put it this way: I have been praying for quite some time that God would open a door that would allow us to provide a Christian education with excellent academics, close to home. I feel that He has answered my prayers with the opening of Northside Christian Academy right here in Lexington! We are so excited to be a part of this new journey and blessed to have a school that is just as excited to love and educate our children. We know Northside Christian Academy will impact the hearts of many families just as it has ours! Mike and Amy Brown We are excited as well! As we continue to recruit students and teachers, please pray that God would bless our efforts and give us discernment and wisdom throughout the process. Thank you for your prayers and support!
Northside on Mission
2011 northside missions golf tournament
In February, twelve Northsiders traveled to South Asia to share the gospel and encourage believers among our adopted Unreached People Group.
the gospel, you can see the love they have for Jesus radiate from them. This love is what keeps them going despite any obstacles or persecution they receive. Their desire is to completely serve Jesus and make sure all of the Awadhi people have the opportunity to hear Gods Word and surrender their lives to Him. As we shared with the villagers each day, we assisted with planting the seeds that the local pastors will continue to water every day to help them grow in the Lord. As I continue my walk to grow closer to the Lord and He prepares me for full-time ministry, my desire is to follow the example of my brothers and sisters in India and selflessly serve the Lord and radiate His Love always. Please join me in continually praying for the pastors in India, their families and for the salvation of the Awadhi people. Sandra Cherry

I never imagined feeling this way. For many years, it was all about me-my life, my family, my job, my needs, my wants, my, my, my!! Once I recommitted my life to Christ, the desires for my changed to Him. Every day I continue to work on having a closer relationship with God and being obedient to His Word. In that obedience I had the honor of going on my first international mission trip to India this year. We take so much for granted in our daily lives. The selflessness that the local pastors we worked with show everyday as they joyfully share the gospel with the Awadhi people is so inspiring. Even though they only make an income of about $1200 a year and they have to travel great distances daily on bicycles to share
