We use modern, environmentally sensitive materials, advanced heating and cooling systems and a living space filled with natural light to offer you a quiet, comfortable and healthy home.

Our proprietary 3-D visualization tools let you experience your new home from the start and to make choices and customize your homewithout exorbitant architect fees! Our factory built system minimizes much of the disruption, unpredictability and risk of the construction process because it happens under our care and responsibility. Your home is built to your specifications and finished in our factory, then we ship it to your site and set it up for you, carefully walking you through its green features and designs. In fact, we even support you through the permitting and financing process, all without additional charge to you. Solar technology is advancing quickly and becoming more and more accessible financially we would love to help you add solar to your Glidehouse. Each Glidehouse home is solar ready. If you would like to incorporate a photo voltaic system in your Glidehouse now, we will work with you to have a system installed upon delivery by our partner solar installers. Whether you invest now or later, we make it easier for future installation! Other renewable energy systems such as solar thermal, wind generator or hybrid systems can also be included in your Glidehouse design. We work with many local green rating programs, as well as national ones like the LEED for Homes program. In addition, we are happy to help you take advantage of all the local and national energy efficiency credits for your super efficient Glidehouse.

mkDesigns homes meet Energy Star program standards for energy efficient homes and performance standards of the American Lung Association Health House program. All mkDesigns can be LEED certified, depending on the particular finishes, building systems and site design an owner chooses. In general, we expect mkDesigns homes to be at least 50 - 60% more efficient than average homes, reducing your monthly operating costs while keeping you comfortable! We are working to produce energy models of each of our designs to measure exact energy costs for your region.
