Dungeon Hunter 2 For the iPhone / iPod / iPad Game Version 1.0.0A Guide by Michael Funaro (Lordmagnet) Guide Version 1.02 (1-24-11) Game Information Published by Gameloft (www.gameloft.com) Official Game Website: www.dungeonhunter2.com Dungeon Hunter 2 was released on December 9, 2010 for the iPhone/iPod @ 757.5 MB (Version 1.0.0A). Dungeon Hunter 2 HD was released on December 9, 2010 for the iPad. Story "Gothicus, land of fear, land... of destiny. Now comes a tale born of sorrow and blood. The tale of a kingdom condemned by the gods, doomed to dark times in the age of two sons. Two sons cursed with the strength of immortals, two sons cursed by the dread fate of kings. Armies are raised. Dark powers awake.

And one prince comes to power on a tide of new evil. But the true tale of sorrow has only begun. Let this new chapter of Gothicus be written in fire..." Twenty-five years after the events of Dungeon Hunter I, Gothicus must be saved once again. You are the son of the Immortal King Gothicus, and rightful heir to the throne. Your brother, Edward, has thrown you into exile and plunged the kingdom into a new age of terror after a crown succession war that ended with you on the losing side. Your kingdom's salvation relies on you once again: Gothicus is threatened by the Dark Queen's return and, as foretold by the gods, the power of the Immortals themselves. General Tips and Hints * This game saves automatically. It will save at checkpoints, when logging out / exiting the game, and at specific time intervals. * Potions restore both HP and MP. To use a potion click on the red vial icon in the top right corner of the screen. Note that you must be under 100% health or mana to use a potion. * If you are using Potions faster than you find them don't be afraid to stock up on them at every merchant, they are extremely cheap. They are located at the bottom most level of the merchant screen. * Because you'll always keep max potions (finding or buying), don't be afraid to use them, even for just an MP refresh. * DH2 Barrels can now drop weapons and armors as well as gold and potions. They can also contain enemies. * If you're having a difficult time destroying a barrel by attacking it, consider using a special ability attack on it. An area of effect attack or even a faerie spell can take out large groups of barrels with a single attack, not to mention hitting any enemies around them. If you don't mind using your MP that is. * There is no real need to purchase weapons or armor. You'll acquire current/better gear from drops, chests, and barrels. On the other hand, if you aren't interested in the gold trophy, then what's the point of hording all that gold? Weapons are always a smart purchase. * Lower gear with more useful magical properties are better than higher gear with worse stats. No one will be impressed with your Warrior with that cool looking helm with nothing but +energy on it. * Auto-Transmute is a great feature under the options menu that shouldn't be overlooked. I usually set the threshold to white items a little after I start the game, and blue/purple when farming for the end game armor sets. This will save you a lot of time. * Transmuting an item will yield slightly less gold than selling to a merchant.

* It is acceptable if you only invest attribute points at level-up into your classes main attribute. Warriors can go strength, Rogues can go Dexterity, and Mages can go Energy. For more specific information on how to distribute attributes, see the classes sections. * No need to invest a skill point every level up, save them for an ability you really want. Althought you won't be able to invest all your saved points into a just unlocked skill, you will want to invest multiple skills per level higher up. * The Foul-Smelling Man shows up in many of the dungeons in the game. His merchandise is always better than average quality. * There are chests of green with gold trim, and larger than regular chests. These are epic chests and contain only high quality items. * Holding down auto-attack button lets your character automatically attack the next foe (assuming they are within range). * Skill powers disable your auto-attack, forcing you to reactivate it. Faerie spells do not. * Selecting a quest in the Quest Journal and clicking the "Make Active" button in the lower-right corner shows you where to find the quest objective on the Map screen using a green "plus" sign. * The game allows you to save a maximum of 4 characters. * Red and Blue shrines can be found in many of the game's dungeons. Red restores health and mana, while blue enchants you with a temporary shield of sorts. * On normal difficulty the point cap for skills is 10. On hard mode this limit is 15. On heroic mode this limit is 20. * You will only receive 1 Exp from killing enemies 5 levels or more lower than you. * Dying holds no consequence other than starting back at a checkpoint. In fact, if you are below 3 potions, dying will automatically put 3 potions in your inventory. * While you go through the game, purchasing and saving +find treasure % gear will save you a lot of time if you intend to do end game farming for the best equipment. Sanctum, this is the second part of the Earthlight Temple level. When you zone into the Inner Sanctum look for the Foul-Smelling Man, an in dungeon merchant to refill your potions. On the way to the next zone the Den of Corruption, you'll fight the Corrupted Root mini-boss. You will take a ton of damage during this fight so keep an eye on your health meter. I advise either taking out the mobs near the boss directing, or using area of effect abilities to take them out, or drawing the mini-boss across the bridge away from the surrounding enemies. At the end of the Den of Corruption you will engage the Rootmonger Demon boss. BOSS: Rootmonger Demon This fight is a more difficult version of the Corrupted Root fight. Dispatch the 3 cultists before taking on the boss to mitigate the extra damage taken. You have to worry about his special charge attack, it'll do a good amount of damage and more importantly it will knock you back. To melee this means you might never get a chance to attack him. What you'll want to do is bring him to a wall and just eat his charge attack, you'll take a lot of damage but the wall will stop you from moving, which will let you attack. Ranged attacker can run away from the boss, walk towards him until he is just slightly on the screen, and then you can tee-off on him without him attacking you. *Reward:* Primula the Earth Faerie joins you + Normal: 300 Exp / Hard: 900 Exp / Heroic: 1,500 Exp Act 6 10. Cons * Not many multi-target hitting abilities. Tips * HP Leech is a hugely benficial stat for survivability. Specs *Specialization: Berserker* Primary Skills: * * * * 20 20 20 20 Master of Arms Bloodlust Unholy Strength No Mercy

Useful Skills: * Annihilating Spin - Useful for area knockdown effect and multiple target damaging. Stats: Pump Str and enough points into Dex to use an offhand. When distributing attributes keep in mind that you can receive a lot of Str or Dex from item's magical properties. Play style: Auto-attack. Equip a dagger or claw in your offhand when you put at least 7 points into Unholy Strength.

Warrior Skill Tree Tier 1 *Headsplitter* - (Active) A targetted strike that damages a single enemy and knocks him backwards. First point: MP cost 9, Damage Varies Last point: MP cost 66, Damage varies (@ 20) Increase per point: +3 MP cost, +varying damage Thoughts: Not great. No need to invest further than the first given point. *Battle Hardened* - (Passive) Defense rating improves. Improved pushback and interruption resistances. First point: +5 to Def. rating, +1 to resistances Last point: +100 to Def. rating, +20 to resistances (@ 20) Increase per point: +5 to Def. Rating, +1 to Resistances Thoughts: Not needed, but it will give you that much more survivability. Tier 2 (Level 3) *Earthstrike* - (Active) A furious strike that shakes the very earth. Nearby enemies are damaged and thrown in every direction. First point: MP cost 11, Damage Varies, Range 3.0M Last point: MP cost 68, Damage varies, Range 6.0M (@ 20) Increase per point: +3 MP cost, +varying damage, +.1M/.2M range Thoughts: Not needed, nothing special. *Inner Strength* - (Passive) Increases your health regeneration rate. First point: +1 HP regen rate Last point: +19.50 HP regen rate (@ 20) Increase per point: +0.50 HP regen rate Thoughts: Not needed. Again, this can help with survivability slightly, but I'd suggest just grabbing some HP leech. Tier 3 (Level 6) *Shield Rush* - (Active) A lightning-quick charging attack. Equip a shield to increase damage. First point: MP cost 7, Damage Varies Last point: MP cost 64, Damage varies (@ 20) Increase per point: +3 MP cost, +varying damage Thoughts: Not needed unless you plan on using a shield. This can do a lot of damage at high levels with a shield. *Leadership* - (Passive) Both you and nearby allies gain experience at an accelerated rate. First point: +1.50% Exp Last point: +30% Exp (@ 20) Increase per point: +1.50% Exp

Thoughts: Not good. This won't help much. Enemies are set levels, and you won't get usable Exp from enemies 5 levels or more lower than you. Tier 4 (Level 9) *Potion Capacity* - (Passive) Increases the maximum number of potions you can carry. First point: +1 Max potions Last point: +20 Max potions (@ 20) Increase per point: +1 Max potions Thoughts: Not needed at all. You probably won't ever be out of potions at the default 12 limit. Get an item with HP leech and you may never use a potion again. *Master of Arms* - (Passive) Wield Axes, Swords, and Maces with increased deadliness. First point: Bonus damage +2, Attack rating +5 Last point: Bonus damage +40, Attack rating +100 (@ 20) Increase per point: +2 bonus damage, +5 attack rating Thoughts: Great ability. Max this one out. Increased damage done and chance to hit is a no-brainer. Warrior Specialization: Berserker "An all-out attacker, the Berserker lusts but for blood and battle, eagerly trading life for strength and defense for power. The cautious need not apply." Tier 5 (Level 12) *Annihilating Spin* - (Active) An unstoppable 360 degree attack, damaging and pushing back all nearby enemies. First point: MP cost 10, Damage varies Last point: MP cost 29, Damage varies (@ 20) Increase per point: +1 MP cost, +varying damage Thoughts: A good ability even at 1 point. Area of effect damage, plus a chance to knockdown enemies is a huge plus. *Berserker Rage* - (Passive) Deal more damage when your health is below 35%. First point: Bonus damage +17.58% Last point: Bonus damage +69.55 (@ 20) Increase per point: +2.73%/2.74% bonus damage Thoughts: Not worth investing in, don't let that huge damage bonus fool you. Chances are that if a fight brings you below 35%, you won't survive long staying there and will be popping a potion very soon. There's no denying how powerful this can be but it's situational. Sometimes this ability will stay on you for a few seconds when it activates and you bring yourself back up passed the 35% threshold, most other times it'll disappear right away. Tier 6 (Level 15)

*Bloodmoon Howl* - (Active) The scream of a madman. Enemies within range become inflicted with fear or paralysis. First point: MP cost 12, fear/stun dur. 2.25 secs Last point: MP cost 88, fear/stun dur. 7.00 secs (@ 20) Increase per point: +4 MP cost, +0.25 sec fear/stun dur. Thoughts: Not needed. Annihilating Spin does this, and does it better. *Bloodlust* - (Passive) Each enemy you slay will increase your damage for a short time. First point: Duration 4 Secs, Damage bonus per kill +7 Last point: Duration 15 secs, Damage bonus per kill +45 (@ 20) Increase per point: +0 to +1 duration, +2 bonus damage per kill Thoughts: Great ability. Most of the time in this game you encount enemies in groups, and that is when this will shine. Note that the damage bonus stacks per enemy you kill. Tier 7 (Level 18) *Crippling Strike* - (Active) Sacrifice 10% of your HP to inflict a crushing blow, stunning and knocking back your enemies. First point: MP cost 6, Damage bonus +5 Last point: MP cost 44, Damage bonus +24 (@ 20) Increase per point: +2 MP cost, +1 bonus damage Thoughts: Not needed in my opinion. *Toughness* - (Passive) Increase your maximum health points. First point: Varies. Around 40 to 100. Last point: Varies. Around +135 to +480 (@ 20) Increase per point: Varies. Around +5 to +20. Thoughts: Not needed but putting 1 point in might be a smart idea, you get a lot of health for the first point compared to the rest of the points. Tier 8 (Level 21) *Unholy Strength* - (Passive) Gain a damage bonus with 2H weapons. At skill level 7, 2H weapons can be wielded with a single hand. First point: +2 Bonus damage Last point: +40 Bonus damage (@ 20) Increase per point: +2 damage bonus Thoughts: Great ability. Max this out. At 7 points invested you can equip a shield or dagger/claw in your offhand with your 2h still equipped. Your 2h will also swing as fast as a 1h. This ability is HUGE. *No Mercy* - (Passive) Each successfully landed attack increases your attack and running speed. First point: +1 to running speed, +1 to attack speed Last point: +20 to running speed, +20 to attack speed (@ 20) Increase per point: +1 running speed, +1 attack speed Thoughts: Great ability. First point: Chance to stun 11%, Knock back 16% Last point: Increase per point: Thoughts: Tier 6 (Level 15) *Alastor's Blessing* - (Active) Heals both you and nearby allies and accelerates health regeneration for 12 seconds. First point: Last point: Increase per point: Thoughts: *Elemental Strength* - (Passive) Weapons you wield deal additional elemental damage. First point: Last point: Increase per point: Thoughts: Tier 7 (Level 18) *Alastor's Protection* - (Active) Both you and nearby allies gain an armor bonus for 12 seconds. First point: Last point: Increase per point: Thoughts: *Conversion* - (Passive) Your holy power compels your enemies to join you. Each attack has a chance to convert.

First point: Last point: Increase per point: Thoughts: Tier 8 (Level 21) *Condemnation* - (Active) A holy light damages and knocks back all enemies on screen.
