Sub: Final confirmation of Flash Point of Each Product storage at Tank Farm
Based on Annexure-1 Flash Point of Solvents stored details given by you, has been discussed with local Authority of CCEO before we submit our application to CCEO-Nagpur. Their observation is as under: This point has been discussed with Mr.K.Srinivas Rao on phone and awating the confirmation.
The details provided by you for the following products are insufficient or invalid. Please arrange to supply us product details in view of Petroleum Rules ,2002

1." Petroleum" means any liquid hydro-carbon or mixture of hydro-carbons and any inflammable mixture ( liquid,viscous or solid) containing any liquid hydro-carbon. 2. "Flash Point" means the flash point of a fuel is essentially the lowest temperature at which vapours from a test portion combine with air to give a flammable mixture and "Flash" when an ignition source is applied.
* "Petroleum Class"A" means Petroleum having its flash point below 23 C (or 73 F) * "Petroleum Class "B" means Petroleum having its flash point below 65.5C ( or 150 F) ;but not below 23C(or 73F) * "Petroleum Class"C" means Petroleum which has its flash point not below 65.5 C ( or 150 F)
Please note that if the category of above any Solvant is falling under Non-Petroleum Products, then those tanks shall be seperated out from Petroleum tanks. it means the layout shall be modified. Hence, you are requested to varify critically the products falling under Petroleum and Non-Petroleum product group with respect to "Flash Point " and Petroleum Class.and send us the revised sheet of above information for our onward action of subitting the application to CCEO-Nagpur for approval.
Meantime, as per CCEO-Petroleum Norms the Layout drawing has been made from our end and 6 Copies has been send to Mr.D.B.Rana at Flint Site for Signature./Stamped.
