This learning resource contains a instructional manual, 11 colour narrative structure A4 cards and a story narrratives A3 colour poster. The narrative program has been specifically designed for 6 to 8 year olds and is the third in a series of four resources. Research reports that narrative ability correlates with literacy and academic achievement. In addition, narrative programs typically enhance comprehension and written expression ability.

Instructional Manual
Designed by Speech Pathologists, the program empowers educators with a process that explicitly instructs this vital skill. The program presents a range of narrative tasks in the order of ascending complexity (i.e. pre-narrative, oral narrative retells, written narrative retells and finally narrative generation tasks). The manual outlines how to instruct 6 to 8 year old narrative ability and recommends over 45 suitable picture books. It includes summaries on how the narrative structure relates to each book. The next morning the animals found the duck (by himself as usual doing his jobs) and explained that the farmer was longer on the farm.
