PLEASE NOTE: that any agreements and or disagreements about the parking lot on Plaunt Street concern the Diocese and the Knights of Columbus. The Parish Finance and Property Committee here at St. Francis Xavier Parish is apprised of the ongoing discussions about the long standing lease agreement that has been held between these two parties. We are not part of the current negotiations. Any concerns should be directed to the Diocese of Pembroke and/or the Knights of Columbus. HOME COMMUNION: A number of our senior parishioners are not able to attend Mass on a regular basis. They appreciate the generosity of someone who would bring them communion regularly. The timing of this is usually negotiable. Most often people are commissioned at the weekend Mass to bring communion. If you could devote some time to this ministry it would be greatly appreciated. Please call the office. FUNERAL MASS SERVERS: A word of appreciation to the positive response to the invitation to assist with the ministry of funeral Mass serving.

We have received another donation which brings the net profit to $9,830.34. This leaves us only $236.62 shy of the 2010 results. Considering the increase in food prices, this is a very good result.
SISTERS OF THE HOLY CROSS: We, the Sisters of Holy Cross, will be living our General Chapter from July 5 to 20, 2011 at our retreat house, lErmitage, in Pierrefonds, Qubec. Our theme for this chapter is With one heart and one passion, let

us put our hand to the work of resurrection.

We thank you for your prayers for the Congregation as we choose our orientations and make plans for the coming six years.

GALILEE CENTRE: "Praying With Paint": The Icon of St. Eugene Patron of Families in Difficult Times". Monday August 2nd thru Sun August 7th.
Summer is often the time to do things that you just don't have time to do during the year. This Workshop/Retreat blends both the spiritual journey into the life of St. Eugene and practicing and learning the art painting/writing an Icon. One does not need to be an artist, because this a spiritual act and the Spirit does help us. Please contact 613-623-4242 or www.galileecentre.com or info@galileecentre.com for more information or to register.
