Besides publicizing the products and services of the organization it also acts as an online identity for the organization. But maintaining a website through professional website development agencies is a costly business. This training programme will address how the staff of any organization can design, develop and maintain their own websites at a much reduced cost. In an era of fierce competition, Website marketing has become a crucial part for the organization. The organizations are forced to adopt new changes in the marketing strategies to remain relevant; otherwise all expenses on design and development of websites will be wasted. This training programme will help the people to adopt the Social Media and Networking tools, and SMS to market the website. Intake Capacity: Number of participants will be restricted to 9 (nine) only on first come first served basis. The working librarians of greater Guwahati and representative of different organizations will be given priority over other candidates. Registration Fee: The intimation should be made on or before July 20, 2011 through phone / email. Registration fee of Rs. 2,000/- (two thousand only) should be paid through DD in favour of The Registrar, KKHSOU payable at Guwahati on or before July 22, 2011. The filled up registration form along with DD should be sent to Sri Badan Barman, Academic Consultant, Library and Information Science, Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University, Housefed Complex, Last Gate, Dispur, Guwahati-781006. The registration form can also be sent through email to clkkhsou@gmail.com. During the training programme itself the interested person can develop their own website and publicize it through Twitter, Facebook, Google SMS Channel. So, the participants are requested to bring a MS Word Processed document that describe the respective organization (Collection and Services), Staff Members, Committee Members, Rules, Membership Form and the Scan copy of passport size photographs of all Staff members. Note: The KKHSOU will not provide any accommodation facilities to the participants of the training programme.
