Maati.tv is the first web-tv of Pakistan. A project of IRC, it aims to reach out to the youth of Pakistan and highlight the social issues of the country through documentaries made by community filmmakers and by delivering quality, orginal content. I was responsible for heading the project from the start involved in all aspects, from planning, setting editorial policy, the design of the website, to content production. Aug 2010 - Nov 2010: Manager, Client Services, Shamrock Communications, Karachi. Shamrock Communications is one of the pioneering PR agencies of Pakistan with many multinational as well as local clients, including Mobilink, Etihad Airlines, Samsung, World Bank and Unicef. My responsibilities included building and maintaining relationships with the company's clients, interacting with them on a day-to-day basis and ensuring customer satisfaction. Additional responsibilities included overseeing the management of the clients brands on social media. May 2010 - Sep 2010: Sub-Editor, Daily Times, Karachi. Daily Times is the 2nd most popular English daily of Pakistan. I worked here as a sub-editor of the business section. My responsiblity here was to ensure that the tone, style and layout of final copy matches the publication's house style and suits the target market. The work involved processing all the copy before publication to ensure that it is grammatically and factually correct and reads well. Jul 2009 - Aug 2009: 6 Week Internship at Soneri Bank. June 2006 - Jul 2006: Worked as a Call Center Agent (Sales) at Alvia Communications. Job involved calling United States and Canada, making sales pitches and direct sales. Intensive personal selling skills were required and the work itself was highly competitive and goal oriented.
