July News
Hello Everyone I hope you all enjoyed making your postcards at the last meeting. Please do bring along your finished cards this month so we can have a washing line display! you to choose either sweet or savoury for nibbles. Drinks will be provided. Well also be having a quilt block treasure hunt with prizes for the winners! Our August meeting is called Bag Ladies! and wed like this to be a similar format to the recent, successful book evening. Please bring a favourite patchwork/quilted bag to talk about for a minute or two. We have booked a small coach to take us to Scarborough and Whitby on Thursday nd 22 September. Well be fabric shopping and just enjoying the seaside. Please sign up for the trip this month. The cost will be 20 to include the drivers tip. See you on Tuesday!

This month we have a guest speaker, Janet Bottomley who is going to talk about Liberated Patchwork. Shell be bringing quilts and liberated blocks for us to see as Local and National Events well as some antique quilts. Janet is coming back in October to teach a Quilt Museum, York: workshop for us on this subject and you th Until August 29 : can book a place at the meeting for the Celebrations and Made in usual 5 deposit. The workshop will cost Yorkshire 15 for members.

We have many exciting events coming up in the next few months including our th garden party on August 20 at Junes house from 2-4pm. Were hoping for good weather so we can sit outside. If you can, please bring a garden chair. We will have a sign up list at the meeting and well ask

Coffee Morning and Quilt Display Wetherby Town Hall th October 29 10am 1pm Please tell all your friends about our coffee morning! Were hoping this will be even more successful than last year. Sales Tables: as well as serving refreshments we plan to have a cake stall and sales tables. There will be a maximum of 4 tables available for members to sell their patchwork and quilted items but friends could share a table. We dont charge for the tables but ask you to donate 10% of takings. You must book in advance if you would like a table. Raffle: June has very kindly offered to make up a raffle quilt for us. We plan to cut simple shapes from donated fabric for this quilt so if you would like to contribute please bring a piece of patterned fabric at least 7 by 13 in a cheerful colour to our meeting.
