FAMILY NURSING HEALTH PROBLEM Inability to provide home environment conducive to health maintenance and personal development due to 1. Ignorance of the importance of hygiene and sanitation 2. Lack of knowledge regarding of preventive measures.

GOAL After nursing interven-tion the family will be able to eradicate the presence of these unwanted sites of vectors causing diseases and therefore will maintain a home environ-ment conducive to health.

OBJECTIVES After nursing intervention the family will be able to: 1. Be aware and be more knowledgeable about the importance of proper sanitation especially at home. 2. Be able to eliminate the presence of this breeding sites of vectors 3. Recognize the causes of breeding sites such as to prevent the occurrence of diseases.

INTERVENTION Discuss the importance of proper sanitation Cite the causes and effect of the prevalence of these unwanted pests around the home Suggest alternative methods that could eliminate the breeding sites of vectors Explore with the family ways of improving home sanitation considering limited resources Emphasize the proper storage of foods.
