JOB RESPONSIBILITIES UNDERTAKEN:


Provided scientific support in the area of Microbiology and Plant Pathology related activities related to rice i.e. Research and Training. Recent previous engagement was to evaluate corn hybrids against biotic/ abiotic stresses and adaptability in farmers field and SAUs campuses at West Bengal, Assam, seven sister states India.

SKILL SET:
Microbiological techniques Isolation, identification, culture and maintenance of plant and clinical pathogens Antimicrobial assays (in vitro and in vivo) and clinical trial protocols Screening of field crop (rice/ corn) germplasm against biotic stresses (bacteria/ fungi/ nematode) Techniques for evaluation of resistant/ tolerant rice germplasm against plant pathogens at field/ greenhouse All kind of field trials on maize and rice. Enzyme Linked Immunosorbant Assay. Soil analysis- macro, micronutrients and microbial. PCR and other molecular techniques.
