Abstract:

Low density polyethylene(LDPE) is the major insulating materials of

the power cable and properties of electrical trees growing can evaluate the insulation property in this material The LDPE samples used for electrical tree experiments are obtained by three different heat treatment processes The

pin-to-flat electrode are used for design experiments method and the electrical

trees growing processes are observed by living microscope camera system And also analysise the shape developing velocities and expand coefficient of the electrical trees This research shows that electrical tree initiation growth and

shape can be affected by different cooling medium in some extent Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) have been used to test crystallinity It is confirmed by our research and analysis that the sample cooling in ice water with undermost crystallinity degree and developping most quickly with light color By contrary

electrical tree grow slowly in the sample cooling in silicone oil because of upmost crystallinity degree and small grain size Moreover electrical trees is analysised in this paper Key words : Low density polyethylene Cooling medium Electrical tree propagation characteristics Crystalline state Partial Partial discharge signal in
