11-37964 (STOLEN VEHICLE) On 8/9/2011 deputies from Ypsilanti Twp investigated a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim told deputies their vehicle was stolen sometime during the night from outside of their home in the 9000 block of Geraldine St. The victim did not have any suspect information. During the investigation the vehicle was recovered in the area of Michigan Ave and Ecorse Rd, within the City of Ypsilanti. Investigators are still attempting to identify the suspect(s). No arrests have been made. The incident remains under investigation. Stolen & Recovered Vehicle: 1992 Green Ford Ranger Truck

11-38043 (HOME INVASION) Deputies patrolling Salem Twp were called to the 10000 block of Seven Mile Rd for the complaint of a residential burglary. Police were contacted on 8/9/2011; investigators believe the incident occurred mid afternoon on 8/9/2011. The victim told deputies someone entered their home and stole a small safe, money, and some jewelry. Entry was gained through an unlocked door. No suspect information was available at the time of this posting. No arrests have been made. This remains an active investigation.

11-38065 (LARCENY OF BOAT MOTOR) On 8/9/2011 deputies from Countywide Patrol were dispatched to the 10000 block of Willis Rd, Augusta Twp, for the report of a stolen outboard boat motor. Deputies are still attempting to determine when the theft occurred. The victim told investigators their motor had been affixed to an aluminum fishing boat before the theft occurred. No suspect information was available. The incident remains under investigation. Stolen Property: 1 Mercury 3.3 HP outboard motor

11-38110 (ROBBERY OF BUSINESS) Deputies from Ypsilanti Twp were called to 1395 East Michigan Ave on 8/9/2011 for an armed robbery at the Speedway gas station. The call came in at about 11:30PM. Multiple police units responded, along with a K-9 unit. The victim told deputies that a man came into the gas station with his shirt pulled over his face. The suspect then punched the clerk and took money out of the cash register. Investigators were able to develop suspect information from the description by the clerk. No arrest has been made at the time of this posting. The clerk/victim sustained minor injuries. The incident remains under investigation. Suspect Description: White male 56 200lbs Brown hair wearing: white t-shirt and black shorts

ARREST INFORMATION
11-37957 (ROBBERY ARREST) On 8/9/2011, at approximately 3:30AM, deputies from Ypsilanti Twp investigated a street robbery which occurred in the 2800 block of East Michigan Ave. The victims told deputies they were walking along E Michigan Ave when a male subject approached them from the rear. The male suspect grabbed one of the victims and took money out of her hands. The other victim (male) confronted the suspect the suspect. During the confrontation, the male victim was stabbed by the male suspect. The victims called police and provided a suspect description. Deputies investigating the incident located the suspect in the area. A 40 year old male was arrested and lodged at the county jail. The male victim sustained non life-threatening injuries. All stolen property was recovered. A copy of the police report will be sent to the Prosecutor for review.

11-38034 (ARREST AFTER VEHICLE PURSUIT) On 8/9/2011, at approximately 3:15PM, deputies in Ypsilanti Twp arrested a subject for Fleeing & Eluding Police. Deputies were conducting proactive patrol when they attempted to stop a motor vehicle for a traffic offense. As deputies were initiating the stop, the suspect drove away in an attempt to flee. The suspect/driver bailed out of his vehicle a few block from where the stop was initiated. Deputies pursued the suspect on foot and apprehended him a short distance later. The 50 year male suspect was turned over to the county jail without further incident. Deputies are still attempting to determine why the motorist attempted to run from police. A copy of the police report will be sent to the Prosecutor for review.
