A Friendly LOVE Proverbs 27:5-6;9-10 A friendly love is a beautiful kind of love that maintains and sustains friendship.

Two or even more people with distinct backgrounds come in a relationship should expect joys as well as conflicts. Yet, in the midst of friendship, a special kind of friendly love needs to be practiced. This love can even cover negative things, and focus on positive things. A friendly love can even change a person for the better, and even cause friendship more desirable. To maintain and sustain friendship, a friendly love needs to be bold, and active. If it needs for one to correct the other, it is wisdom. If one needs to have conflict to correct someone, it is needed to. If one needs help, he should not abandon his/her friend, for in times of need, he/she runs to him/her. These are wise saying from Solomon. From the wisdom of God: A FRIENLY LOVE REBUKES OR CORRECTS for CHANGE or FOR THE BETTER An Open Rebuke is Better than a Hidden LOVE (Proverbs 27:5) Friendly love is not meant to be kept secretly. A friendly love needed to be expressed to move a person. When a friend is already doing something wrong in life, and he even does not know his or her wrong doings, a mover needs to come in to move him/her or to rebuke him/her. The person that should come is a friend. A friend is not happy seeing her/his friend committing sins. A friends responsibility to his/her friend is to salvage him or her from doing sins. A friends responsibility to his/her friend is to rebuke his/her friends in times when it is needed. When rebuke needs to be done, is should be done. At first, it may cause conflict between friends, yet in the long run, it is beneficial. It can be an eye opener for a

person to awaken the person to evaluate herself or himself. It can lead the person to see himselfs or herselfs bad attitudes and change it for the better. Rebuke is needed in friendship, and it is a friends responsibility to his friend. Furthermore, a friends love to his/her friend should aim change for the better. Change can be either be in two ways for the better, or for the worse. A friends responsibility to her/his friend is helping his/her friend to become a better person of God. A friendly love rebukes. This friendly love is really needed in friendship. A FRIENDLY LOVE HURTS to HEAL Wounds from a friend is better than many kisses from an enemy (Proverbs 27:6) The phrase love hurts, is a paradox. It seems wrong, but is truth. A friendly love hurts yet it is a source of healing. When motivated by love, a person if needed to rebuke his or her friend is a friendly love. The usual response of the rebuked friend is hurt. It can even cause wound. Yet, in the long run, wounds from friends are even sweeter than kisses from an enemy. Why? In friendship, friends in some situations hurt each other, if needed to. They may argue, and cause even causes wounds for the friendship, yet in the long run, because of the experience even a deeper friendship is developed. Friendship is more treasured when overcoming friends overcome hurts. When hurts are overcome, healing follows. Real friends with real love for each other, sometimes in inevitable situations hurt each other but never abandon each. They always come back together and discover that their friendship relationship is growing deeper than before. In hurts, friends learn to be deeper and better friends for each other.

Your friend is not your enemy. Why? An enemy hurt and leaves, while a friend sometimes hurt each other without leaving each other. Friendship can be tested in this way. Thus, A FRIENDLY LOVE KEEPS a FRIEND IN TIMES OF NEEDS Never abandon a friend. Then in time of need, you wont have to ask your relatives for assistance (Proverbs 27:10) True friends never abandon each other in times of need. Friends are also tested in times of needs. They help each other and never abandon each other in times of needs. When the world turn against them, they will not leave each other, but stay together. Friends are treasures to keep. They are our assistance whenever we need financial aid, ears to listen to us, and other kinds of need we have. We can come to them and expect their help. Friends are there for each other in times of needs. Friends have the responsibility to help each other in times of need. Why? It is easiest to leave someone, when he needs our help, yet a true friend stays with a friend and even help his/her friend in times of needs. CONCLUSION Jesus Christ is our friend who can perfectly be a friend to us. He corrects us through His words when He disciplines us to be a better person, and even help us in times of needs. Christ is our perfect friend that can even help us to be true friends to our friends. When friendly love is being practiced in every relationship, then a relationship is desirable. It can grow deeper and deeper, until we recognize that: the heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense (Proverbs 27:9). Let us treasure our friends!
