Student Directions: Place cards face down in the deck.


Take turns drawing a card. If you read the word correctly,
you keep the card. If not, return the card to the bottom
of the pile. Pay attention, there are Go Again and Give 1 Card
Back cards. The winner is the person with the most cards
at the end of the game.

Teacher Directions: There are 2 options for printing. You can print a
mat for each student, laminate, and have students write on the mat
with vis--vis markers. Or you can print a mat for each student and
enough letters for each student to have one set. The students can
then cut their letters out.
Read the directions to students and have them record the words.
1. Spell ice.
2. Add an m to spell mice.
3. Change the c to l to spell mile.
4. Add an s to spell smile.
5. Change the sm to p to spell pipe.
6. Change the p to n to spell pine.
7. Change the p to n to spell nine.
