Most Zionists are either Jewish or Christian, although a Zionist can be of any or of no faith, and, especially in America, there are many Christians who believe that Israel, today, and the return of the Jews to the Middle East today, despite what Jesus himself said (over 2,000 years ago) about Israel, Jerusalem, and its Temple, is, in fact, the fulllment of the biblically prophesied homeland of the Jews: biblical Israel or Zion. Many Christians in America believe Israel today is the fulllment of the biblically prophesied homeland of the Jews which is spoken of in the Bible. However, quite

contrary to Genesis 12:3 which states: I will bless those who bless Israel and I will curse those who curse Israel, Christ himself proclaimed a curse upon Israel (its abandonment by God) because of Israels rejection of him as the Prophet which Moses told Israel would come into the World (see: John 6:14 and Matthew chapter 23, especially verse 38).

See: http://www.christianzionism.org/ True Torah Jews - THE HISTORY OF ZIONISM & JUDAISM This text is from an article called "An Open Letter" published in the Jewish magazine, "Hachoma". We think it provides a good historical overview of the history of Zionism and why the Zionist ideology is opposed by religious Orthodox Jews. The Jewish people, from its inception, has been unique by its identity as a religious entity. Through the centuries its religious character had been a premise agreed upon by Jews and non-Jews alike. Our faith demands as the fundamental condition for recognition as a Jew, belief and adherence to the word of G-d, as was revealed to our forefathers on Mount Sinai. This is in itself, according to the tenets of the Jewish religion, sufcient to fulll the denition of a Jew. Our religious and traditional history bears no aspect of racism. Hence, one of non-Jewish origin is capable of being proselytized and attaining the same status as a born Jew. Conversely, one of Jewish birth who does not recognize his being bound to the Jewish Torah, is by Jewish law a heretic, and therefore forfeits his spiritual birthrights as a Jew.

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

The purpose of the Jew is to bear witness to the existence of G-d, through his adherence to the Torah. The Al-mighty granted the Jews the land of Israel as the particular setting which would serve as the most conducive atmosphere to their performance of their duties to G-d. The Jews in ancient times were banished from the land of Israel because they had failed to fulll their obligations to the Al-mighty. Every Jew acknowledges this in his prayers (Umipnei Chatoeinu Golinu Meiartzeinu). They accepted the penalty of exile and were at that time expressed sworn by the Al-mighty not to accelerate their redemption on their own, and especially not to rebel against the nations under whose rule they were found. To the contrary, every Jew is commanded to pray for the peace and well being of the government of which he is the subject. Through all the years of exile, pious Jews as individuals were attracted to reside in the Holy Land because of its innate holy character and the opportunity it offered for the observance of various precepts bound in the land. Jews as a whole continue to pray that the Al-mighty return his Divine presence to the Land of Israel, by the coming of the Messiah, who will build His Temple, from whence will emanate Divine Wisdom and ultimate spiritual fulllment of the entire human race. Through the many years that Jews resided in the Holy Land for this purpose, they enjoyed tranquil and cordial relations with the non-Jewish population there. The Zionist movement which was formed at the latter part of the last century, sought to endow the Jews with a nationalistic character which was heretofore strange to them. It sought to deprive them of their historically religious character and offered in substitution of faith in G-d and adherence to the Torah, and belief in their ultimate redemption by the coming of the Messiah, a nationalistic ideology and the possibility of establishing through political media, a Jewish national homeland. During the period of the British Mandate, the Balfour Declaration, which recognized the eventual possibility of founding a Jewish national homeland, in Palestine, was afrmed to be the British government. The Jewish Agency, who then was the Chief representative of Zionist interests in the Holy Land, was entrusted with the issuance of visas to the Holy Land, thus resulting in an increased Zionist immigration from various parts of the world, which ultimately succeeded in superceding in numbers, the veteran Orthodox dwellers. Orthodox Jewry all over the world and the Orthodox Community in the Holy Land in particular, immediately sensed in this stage of Zionist success, the threat of grave danger for the religious future of Jews. The Arab inhabitants began to exhibit open hostility to their Jewish neighbors. The British government failed to distinguish between the Orthodox community, who for generations in habited the Holy Land, and the newly arrived Zionist immigrants.

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

With the acquisition by the Zionist nationalists of the power to organize communities in Palestine, they formed the Vaad Haleumi Leknesset Yisroel (National Jewish Council Committee). This committee ignored the rights of the Orthodox veteran dwellers who did not recognize this validity of Jewish nationality, and whose identication as Jews was solely with their loyalty to their religious heritage. The religious inhabitants, on the other hand, shuddered at the prospects of spiritual disintegration of World Jewry, with the new rise to power of the Zionist nationalists. The Orthodox inhabitants actively objected to being subject to the authority of the secularists. They appealed their cause to the League of Nations, who consequently granted them a "Right of exclusion" to the subjugation to the Vaad Haleumi, which rights provided that any Jew wishing not to be incorporated into the Vaad Haleumi, may remain lawfully independent if he so stated his wish in writing. Thousands of Jews did so. Such was the case until November 1948, when the United Nations nally sanctioned the establishment of a Zionist State. We do not doubt that their success in nally realizing their goal was due in great measure to their having misled the world into viewing the Zionist cause as the Jewish cause. The formation of the Zionist state resulted in the automatic deprivation of the autonomy heretofore possessed by the Orthodox inhabitants of the Holy Land. The Zionists grasped in the acquisition of their new powers, the opportunity to openly disassociate themselves from any identication with Jews as a religion. They systematically began to orient the minds of their generations according to the tenets of Zionist nationalism. Through the Ministry of Religions they employed part of the Rabbinate to assist them in their aims. The religious Jews who by virtue of their faith, clearly contradicted Zionist nationalism, and who had lived peacefully with their Arab neighbors for generations, became unwillingly identied with the Zionist cause and their struggle with the Arabs. They requested the United Nations that Jerusalem be designated as a defacto international city. They appealed to the diplocatic corps assigned to Jerusalem -- but to no avail. They were hence confronted with the choice of either becoming a part of the Zionist State, which diametrically opposed the interests of Jews as a religion, or abandoning the land of which their forefathers were the rst Jewish settlers. We nd it of supreme importance to emphasize that we are fearful of the consequences of the Zionist rebellion against the Creator, as stated expressly in Jeremich, "For it is bad and bitter your renunciation of G-d..." We wish not to be affected by the behavior of this government who in the name of Israel, persist in their renunciation and utter disregard of religious Judaism such as is clearly attested by their laws expressly permitting wanton autopsies (Law of Anatomy and Pathology, 1953), forcible desecration of the Sabbath (Law of Emergency Labor Draft 1967: PPS 1, 19; 27, 36),

profanation of Holy Sites by retaining non-religious custodians, desecration of Holy Cemetaries by Safed, Beth Shearim and elsewhere, and countless more examples, proof of which is readily available. Insofar as all human being nd necessary the protection of their rights as human beings, we hereby request all those that nd it within their power, to aid us in reacquiring the rights we possessed prior to the formation of the Zionist State*, to remain lawfully independent of the Zionist authority. _____________ * The Laws of Palestine -- Robert Drayton -- Volume 3, Page 213B -- Chapter 126, Paragraph 17(4) -- January 1, 1928. Christian Witness to Israel - The Jewish People Probably more Jews believe in Jesus today than at any time since the days of the apostles and most of them gained their rst interest in Jesus through the witness of ordinary Christians. You do not have to be an "expert" to tell a Jew, or anyone else, about Jesus. A consistent Christian life is in itself a powerful testimony, but it helps to know something about the people to whom you are witnessing. Jewish people are the same as everyone else Jewish people experience the common hopes and fears, joys and sorrows, aspirations and failures of all people, sometimes with greater intensity. One Jewish humorist has observed, "Jews are the same as everybody else only more so!" Most important of all, they are the same spiritually sinners in need of a Saviour. Jewish people are different from everyone else Many Jewish people retain a distinctive cultural tradition. Certain beliefs, practices, opinions, attitudes and gures of speech have often become second nature to them

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

most notably that Jews do not believe in Jesus even though most Jewish people, like Tevye, do not know why. Three major inuences have contributed to this. The inuence of God The Jews were called by God to be a kingdom of priests (Exodus 19:6), his witnesses to the nations (Isaiah 43:10), a light to the Gentiles (Isaiah 49:6) and a blessing to the whole world (Genesis 12:3; 22:18). God is so involved with the history of Israel that the idea of deity is hard to erase from their consciousness, even though many Jews are avowedly agnostic or atheistic. The inuence of Judaism For most of the period since the destruction of the temple and the dispersion of the Jews in AD 70, rabbinic tradition has been the means of keeping them distinct from the nations among whom they have lived. This sense of being the possessors of the Torah of God has often generated a moral sensitivity and a concern for the needs of others. The inuence of Persecution Since the time of Pharaoh, persecution has been an appalling feature of Jewish history. This has strengthened their sense of solidarity as well as making Jewish people acutely sensitive to criticism from outside the community. The fact that professing Christians have at times inspired and co-operated in the persecution of Jews through the Crusades, the Inquisition, expulsions and pogroms, has reinforced the conviction that Jesus is not for the Jews. Some differences between Judaism and Christianity Not all Jewish people are religious, nor do all religious Jews believe exactly the same things but there are certain assumptions that prevail in the Jewish community. Before witnessing to Jewish people it is helpful to know a little about the differences between Judaism and Christianity. Authority Judaism is often referred to as "the religion of the Book" but, as Jewish scholar Jacob Neusner points out in Jews and Christians: the Myth of a Common Tradition, "Christianity is the religion of the Bible ... Judaism is the religion of ... the Talmud". Judaism has added to the Scripture a body of tradition which is accorded equal authority with the Word of God. Christianity alone accepts the Bible as the nal authority in matters of faith and practice.

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

Salvation In common with every man-made religion, Judaism relies on self-effort. According to the rabbis, if one's good deeds outnumber one's evil deeds, one is inscribed in the Book of Life. Some orthodox Jews, however, teach that every Jew has "a place in the world to come." The Messiah If Jewish people know anything about the Messiah it is that he will bring about a reign of universal peace when nations will beat their weapons of war into agricultural implements (Isaiah 2:4) and wolves will lie down with lambs (Isaiah 11:6-9). But, like the Jews of the rst century, they know nothing of a Messiah who must suffer and rise from the dead (Acts 17:1-3; Luke 24:25-27, 44-47; Matthew 16:21-23; Mark 8:31-33; Luke 18:31-34). Our Approach Witnessing to Jewish people is a great privilege but we have to approach the task sensitively. Our God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, our Scriptures (both Testaments) are the Jewish Scriptures, our Messiah is the Jewish Messiah and the spiritual blessings we enjoy were promised to them (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:25-27 cf. Ephesians 2:11-22). We must point out that Jesus is the fullment of all that their prophets foretold: Christianity is Jewish. The Main Point It is not enough to persuade a Jewish person to assent to the truth that Jesus is the Messiah. Jewish people need to see rst of all that they fail to keep God's Law. It is not sufcient for them to do their best; God requires absolute and unswerving obedience to his law (Deuteronomy 27:26 28:1,58,59). Jewish people tend to think that God will overlook their failures or forgive them on the basis of their mitzvot (good deeds) and that so long as they sincerely repent of sin they have forgiveness. We must show that God requires the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sin (Leviticus 17:11; cf. 16:15-17,27,30). Ask questions Never fall into the trap of stereotyping Jewish thinking or beliefs. A good way of starting any discussion is to ask leading questions about what your Jewish friends or acquaintances believe: Do they attend synagogue? What happens at Passover? Why don't they eat lamb at Passover? Why don't they offer sacrices today? How do they nd forgiveness since the destruction of the temple? Do they believe in the coming of Messiah? How will they recognise him when he comes?

Going further An abundance of literature is available for helping Christians to witness to members of cults and other religions but for many years little has been produced to help Christians witness to Jews. Paul Morris, a missionary with Christian Witness to Israel, has written Telling Jews About Jesus in which he shares the lessons he has learned over many years. To order copy visit our online shop. The Jewish people are those of whom God says: "You only have I known of all the families of the earth" (Amos 3:2). To them belong the Scriptures, the divine covenants and the Messiah (Romans 9:3-5; 3:1-2; cf. Ephesians 2:11-12). Christian Witness to Israel - The A-Z of Anti-Semitism ANTI-SEMITISM: The hatred and persecution of Jews as a group: not the hatred of persons who happen to be Jews, but rather the hatred of persons because they are Jews. BLOOD LIBEL: The outrageous accusation, still held by some anti-Semites, that at Passover Jews murder "Christian" children to use their blood for the preparation of matzah. CRUSADES: Starting with the rst Crusade to recapture the tomb of Christ and the Holy City from Islamic indels, the "armies of Christ" ravaged and massacred Jewish communities along the route. DEICIDE: The charge that the Jewish people are guilty of the "murder of God" which provided the incentive for anti-Jewish riots in "Christian" countries at Easter. EXPULSIONS. At times entire communities of Jews have been expelled from their countries of residence. Notable expulsions were those from Rome in 50AD (mentioned in Acts 18:2); from England in 1290; from France in 1306 and 1394; from Spain and Portugal in 1492-97; and from Moscow in 1891. FILM INDUSTRY. The disproportionate numbers of Jews in Hollywood has resulted in the complaint that a disproportionate number of Jews - wrongly referred to as The Jews - has control of everything from the government (e.g., AIPAC) to the entertainment industry, and that through the powerful medium of lm and TV they are able to corrupt society and create social disorder. GHETTO. The Jewish quarter of a town, separated and closed off by walls and gates, rst used in Italy in the early 16th century. HOST DESECRATION. The incredible belief (which could never have originated without

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

the Roman Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation) that Jews stole the consecrated wafer, or host which had miraculously turned into Christ, in order to repeat the agonies of the crucixion by stabbing, tormenting and burning it. ISLAM. That a sovereign Jewish nation should exist in the heart of the Islamic Middle East presents a problem for Islamic theology. In Muslim thought it is inconceivable that the Jews should rise beyond their dhimmi (second-class) status and so long as Israel exists as a self-governing nation on land once owned by Arab landlords it serves to negate Islam. JUDAEOPHOBIA. Literally, "the fear of Jews", which is frequently expressed in hatred toward Jews. KRISTALLNACHT. The "Night of Broken Glass" saw the organised destruction of synagogues, Jewish houses and shops, accompanied by mass arrests of Jews, which took place in Germany and Austria on the night of 9th November 1938. LUTHER. As a young Reformer Martin Luther was favorably disposed towards the Jews of Germany and urged Christians to deal kindly with them. No so in Martins later life, when he published, among other things: The Jews and their Lies, which urges the German authorities to, among other things, burn the Jews synagogues and to expel them from Germany. MARR. Wilhelm Marr is credited with coining the term "anti-Semitism" in his book The Victory of Judaism over Germanism published in 1879. Marr was an atheistic radical who wished to provide a fresh basis for the traditional hatred of the Jews. NEO-NAZISM. Recent years have seen the proliferation of Neo-Nazi political organizations around the world. Characterized by an admiration for Adolph Hitler and Nazism, such groups nd support among the poor and unemployed pandering to prejudice and "patriotism". Belief in white supremacy and hostility to the Jewish, black and Asian communities are hallmarks of such groups. ORGANIZATIONS. A number of anti-Semitic organizations exist, many of them with a presence on the Internet. Jew Watch, for example, keeps "a Close Watch on Jewish Communities & Organizations Worldwide". In the USA primitive, old-fashioned antiSemitism ourishes among the Ku Klux Klan and the Christian Crusader movements, while the John Birch society exhibits a more sophisticated veneer. In this country the National Front was formed in 1967 by the amalgamation of the British National Party, the Empire Loyalists and the violent Racial Preservation Society. PROTOCOLS OF ZION. Purporting to be the plans of a secret conference of the leaders of world Jewry, The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion rst appeared in Russia in 1905. The protocols "reveal" nothing less than a plot to dominate the world through the process of modern democracy. Though long since exposed as a fraud, the document is still available in many languages.

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

QURAN. Though recognizing Jews and Christians as "Peoples of the Book" and "possessing Scriptures", the Quran (Koran) regards them as "indels" because they do not recognize Muhammad as the nal Prophet. Thus the seeds were sown for Islamic hatred of Jews and Christians. RACIAL THEORIES. The idea that the Jewish people are a "race" inferior to the Aryan races was notoriously exploited by Adolph Hitlers Nazi propaganda machine. Among the more bizarre elements of this pseudo-science is the belief that Jesus and the apostles were not Jews but fair skinned, blue-eyed Indo-Europeans. STEREOTYPING. The idea that Jews are characterized by racial, physical and social traits, as expressed in the ideas that: all Jews have big noses; that all Jews are avaricious; that the Jews "control everything". TALMUD. Judaisms body of tradition which has usurped the authority of Scripture. Several anti-Semitic writers have capitalized on the Talmuds anti-Gentile, anti-Christian and often grossly superstitious elements to foment anti-Jewish feeling. USURY. The medieval Church regarded the practice of usury, lending money at interest, as a danger to ones salvation and was the domain of "foreigners". Because the Jews were lost in any case they were allowed to practice money lending thus making them in the popular consciousness not only indels and Christ-killers but also dangerous outsiders. VATICAN. Most "Christian" anti-Semitism has been of the Catholic variety. Relations between the Vatican and Hitler were cordial and until the papacy of John XXIII the Good Friday liturgy contained anti-Jewish references. Since the second Vatican Council, however, there have been signicant changes in (more cordial) Catholic-Jewish relations. WANDERING JEW. The myth of Ahasuerus, a Jewish shoemaker doomed to wander the earth forever as a punishment for cursing Christ on his way to Golgotha. Ahasuerus is thus seen as the personication of the nation suffering eternally for its rejection of the Messiah. XENOPHOBIA. The fear and suspicion of foreigners in general, which also expresses itself in Judeophobia. YELLOW BADGE. Under the Nazis, Jews were forced by law to wear a yellow Star of David sewn onto their clothes in order to identify them. ZIONIST CONSPIRACY. Type "conspiracy" into your Internet search engine and be confronted at once with a bewildering assortment of web sites "exposing" the worldwide Jewish/Zionist conspiracy. According to the conspiracy theorists the Jews are behind every secret society, revolutionary movement and subversive group that has ever

existed. Zionism is the belief - of Jews (i.e., Zionists) or Christians (i.e., Christian Zionists) - that the Jews are entitled - by God - to the land of Palestine in the Middle East, even though Christ himself proclaimed a curse upon Israel (as well as its abandonment by God) because of Israels rejection of him as the Prophet which Moses said would come into the World (see: Matthew chapter 23, especially verse 38). Despite the tough economic times for many Americans, and despite what appeared to be a dwindling number of participants at last year's event, according to

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

ofcial numbers, CUFI managed to draw a crowd of over 5,000 Christians including over 500 CUFI on Campus student activists from every state in the Union, as well as some international guests who made the pilgrimage to DC from overseas. This years Summit included many "repeat offenders" to use Frank Gaffneys phrase, including Gaffney himself whose conspiracy theories and anti-Muslim rhetoric has even seen him shunned by many conservatives; CUFI's Christian Executive Board; Senator Joseph Lieberman; AIPAC ofcials Jeff Mendelsohn and Jonathan Kessler; Robert Satloff; the CEO/Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations, Malcolm Hoelein; Ambassador Michael Oren; and a live satellite visit from Benjamin Netanyahu. There were also some newcomers to this year's Summit from the conservative end of the pro-Israel spectrum. These included Elliot Chodoff, a major in the IDF reserves; Colonel Ben Tzion Gruber, also from the IDF reserves; Commentary Magazine editor, John Podhoretz; conservative radio talk show host Dennis Prager; the ultra-hawkish blogger Jennifer Rubin; and, of course, conspiracy theorist and former Fox News personality, Glenn Beck. Whether or not it was the enticement of Glenn Beck as the keynote speaker (more Beck's speech below) at the Night to Honor Israel Banquet, conservative Christians' antipathy to the Obama Administration's Middle East policies and the Administration in general, or CUFI's extensive and aggressive campaign to portray itself as a legitimate, morals based organization, ofcials made the reason for the unprecedented attendance clear: God wants His will done, and he wants it done through CUFI. "For such a time as this" As attendees walked into the convention center, through the metal detectors and baginspection area, two large banners adorning two juxtaposed scriptural references from the Hebrew Bible greeted them. The rst, from Isaiah 62:6: "I have placed watchmen on your walls," followed by Esther 4:14: "for such a time as this." As understood by many Christian Zionists, it is they who are the watchmen on the walls, placed there by God at this time in history to help His plans for Israel come to pass. At last year's Summit, through the questionable use of Biblical concordance and Hebrew translation, it was determined that the word "watchmen" in Hebrew actually meant Christian, and therefore, the text from Isaiah was a prophetic text, pointing to the Christians of today who would be raised up, again, "for such a time as this." For such a time as what? Since its inception, CUFI has struggled to dissociate itself, its existence and its purpose from the apocalyptic imagery that dominates the theological writings and teachings of its Christian leadership. That is, CUFI has had to reconcile the fact that the writings of it's founder and National Chairman Rev. John Hagee are overwhelmingly preoccupied with Israel as a catalyst for the battle of Armageddon and the return of Jesus.

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

In order for Jesus to return, though, there are a number of things that must happen rst. Most, if not all Jews must return to Israel, Israel must control all of the land given to it by God, in particular Jerusalem, because this is where Jesus is set to return and rule the world through a Christian theocracy for 1,000 years before a new heaven and a new earth are created. Once all of these prerequisites are in place, many believe that the Christian church will have fullled its earthly duty, at which point it will be "raptured" into the heavens for a period of seven years while the nations of the world, guided by Satan, will attempt to destroy Israel one last time before Jesus returns with the raptured church to defeat the enemies of God. This theology can be found in any number of Hagee's books, including: From Daniel to Doomsday: The Countdown has Begun; Jerusalem Countdown; The Beginning of the End: The Assassination of Yitzhak Rabin and the coming of the Antichrist; Final Dawn over Jerusalem; and his most recent (2010), Can America Survive? 10 Prophetic Signs That We Are in the Terminal Generation. Needless to say, this creates a problem because it places the support of Israel, and a very particular path that Israel must follow (read: no two-state solution), along with the future destruction of a large portion of the Jewish population, into the realm of Godordained necessities for Christian salvation. Brog: Speeding the Rapture with brothels One of the ways they get around this is candidly admit, as CUFI's executive director David Brog does in his book Standing with Israel, that, yes, there are many Christians who do believe that Israel is signicant for the Second Coming, but that Christians are powerless to do anything about it. Or, to erroneously argue, as Brog does in the same book that "If evangelicals really wanted to speed Jesus' return they would open up abortion clinics, brothels, and casinos to advance social and moral decay that are preconditions for the Second Coming, in addition to trying to weaken Israel's defenses in order to facilitate the prophesied invasion of the Jewish state by its enemies." This argument may be sufcient for some, yet it woefully misunderstands (willfully or not) this strand of Christian theology, how these Christians read and interpret their scriptures, and how they understand themselves in sacred history. The reference to the verse from Esther is instructive. The Book of Esther and particularly the scriptural reference of "for such a time as this" is standard evangelical pedagogy about how God uses people ordinary, unknowing people to fulll His purposes in history. Esther was called upon by God, who spoke through her uncle Mordecai in order to save Diaspora Jews in ancient Persia from a plot aimed at their destruction. Ultimately, it is a story of instrumentality of God using humans to push history toward its terminal end. Christians are the "watchmen on the wall" because they are the ones who "know the end of the story" (unlike many liberal Jews who are interested in alternative pathways to peace) and despite not actively trying to hasten Armageddon, the specter of its imminent arrival acts as a marker for God's next move through Christian Zionists in the unfolding of the story.

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

Morrison: Division of Jerusalem would prevent Jesus' return At the unofcial opening of the Summit, the Sunday night Prayer and Worship session, this understanding of sacred time, and God's use of humans to fulll His will was on full display. CUFI, we were told, wasn't born six years ago because of some good idea. Rather, it has existed since the beginning of time, it has merely taken prayer cells over the past few decades among all the disparate groups now involved in CUFI to bring about its realization as a political tool for God's spiritual will. "God wants to use you," we were told "he wants to do his will through you, through each of us, and if we don't each do our part then we are slowing the fulllment of his plans." And perhaps the most candid display of CUFI's yearning for the Second Coming came when CUFI's Cheryl Morrison of Faith Bible Chapel in Colorado stated that if we allow Jerusalem to be divided, we would be preventing the return of Jesus. Morrison is the wife and colleague of CUFI executive board member and regional director Rev. George Morrison. It was at this point that the notion of CUFI supporting a two-state solution was seriously awed. "We all know that there won't be peace in Jerusalem until Messiah returns." And therefore worldly attempts to establish peace are doomed to failure, because they don't have the spiritual fruits of God's plans behind them. Sure, one might cast off this assertion as irrelevant because we aren't expecting Jesus to return, and therefore such an unprecedented display of support ought to be welcomed in the meantime. The problem, however, is that it dictates an acceptance of the status quo of continuous violence and provides no urgency for establishing worldly peace in the meantime. And, in fact, to support worldly peace that is based on anything remotely close to the Obama Administration's plans, or to relinquish any settlements, for many evangelicals, would be to fall prey to plans of Satan. Satan disguises himself as an angel of light so its reasonable to suspect that Satan, today, disguises himself as Gods chosen people Israel which Christians, as Bible believers, are (supposedly) bound to support, because of Genesis 12:3. Christian Zionists support and pray for Israel today despite what Jesus himself said to Israel, personally, over 2,000 years ago: that he had forsaken and cursed Israel. To Christian Zionists, the Genesis 12:3 passage, which was written some 2,000 years before Jesus was born, is more important than what Jesus himself said to and about Israel: that Israel was guilty of all the righteous blood shed from Abel till the present day and that God had put Israel aways as a whorish spouse for rejecting all of the prophets, especially himself, sent to her by God.

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

Jesus spoke of the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet (see: Mt.24, Mk 13, Luke 21:21). St. Matthew tells us that Jesus warned Israel of the soon-to-appear desolating sacrilege or abomination of desolation: So when you see the desolating sacrilege spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea ee to the mountains; let him who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house; and let him who is in the eld not turn back to take his mantle. And alas for those who are with child and for those who give suck in those days! Pray that your ight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be Matthew 24:15-21. St. Mark also tells us that Jesus warned Israel of the abomination of desolation, saying: But when you see the desolating sacrilege set up where it ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea ee to the mountains; let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter his house, to take anything away; and let him who is in the eld not turn back to take his mantle. And alas for those who are with child and for those who give suck in those days! Pray that it may not happen in winter. For in those days there will be such tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be Mark 13: 14-19. Again, St. Luke answers our question for us: What is the abomination of desolation? the sacrilege that desolates? Jesus, in St. Lukes gospel tells us: But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near. Then let those who are in Judea ee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it; for these are days of vengeance, to fulll all that is written. Alas for those who are with child and for those who give suck in those days! For great distress shall be upon the earth and wrath upon this people; they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive among all nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fullled Luke 21: 20-24. This event, the surrounding of Jerusalem and its desolation, occurred in the year 70 A.D, which was some forty year after Jesus prophecy was given, and in which Jesus sated that the events he spoke of (Jerusalems desolation) were to occur within that generation, which is about a forty years period of time. Within the lifetime of those who were hearing him speak, is what Jesus meant when he said this generation will witness these events: Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all has taken place Luke 21:32. What are the days of vengeance Jesus is speaking of here? Heres a clue, which will indicate, without a doubt, that Israel is both Babylon and the Whore of Babylon referred to in Revelation, and its the abomination of desolation that is the key that will unlock this great mystery for us. There was only one exception made by Jesus that allows either a man or a woman to divorce their spouse, and its here where things will get very interesting: And I say to

America - The Rapture, Israel, and Christian Zionism

you: whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries a divorced woman, commits adultery Matthew 19: 9. So why would God, whom Jesus has said, has told us that ... from the beginning [God] made them [people] male and female and that it is for this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one esh and for this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one esh EVER permit ANY exception for DIVORCE? As Jesus does in St. Matthews gospel (MT 19:9) when he tells us that whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries a divorced woman, commits adultery? What IS unchastity? It is whoredom; or living the lifestyle of a harlot, whether one is a man or a women and whether one takes money for it or not. THAT is the ONLY reason God permits divorce. Which is why, in St. Matthews gospel, Matthew tells us that Jesus listed many reason why God was divorcing Israel, and that the destruction of Jerusalem was Israels judgment. And that until the fullness of the Gentiles be brought in, Israel was cut off and that the people of Israel would be scattered around the world, which is what happened to Jerusalem, Israel, and the Jewish people in 70 A.D. At the end of MT 23, Jesus says: O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killing the prophets and stoning those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not! Behold, your house is forsaken and desolate (versus 37-38). Accept it, deny it, investigate it, Israel is the Whore of Babylon, the Great Harlot, whose punishment, during the <A HREF="http://www.rpts.edu/media/TheDaysofVengeance-Chilton.pdf">days of vengeance</A> (Luke 21:21), which occurred in 70 AD, has already come upon Israel, because Israel alone was guilty of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of innocent Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar and Jesus told them so, and told them God was divorcing his errant, whorish, spouse Israel. Truly, I say to you, all this will come upon this generation Matthew 23: 36-37. Question 2 2) What is "Babylon", and who is "the Great Harlot" [the Whore of Babylon] spoken of by St. John in the book of Revelation? "Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, 'Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who is seated upon many waters, with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and with the wine of whose fornication the dwellers on earth have become drunk.' And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and bedecked with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her fornication; and on her forehead was written a name of mystery: Babylon the great, mother of harlots and of earths abominations. And I saw the

woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and the blood of the martyrs of Jesus." (Revelation 17: 1-6) ANSWER: In Revelation 18:24, St. John tells us in her [Babylon] was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on earth. In Luke 21:21, we read where Jesus told the leaders of Israel that upon you [Israel] may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of innocent Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. In Luke 11:49-51, Jesus tells the rulers of Israel Therefore also the Wisdom of God said, I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute, that the blood of all the prophets, shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it shall be required of this generation. Who, alone, is guilty of murdering all who have been slain on earth? Guilty of shedding all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of innocent Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar? St. Luke tells us, doesnt he? God said, I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute, that the blood of all the prophets, shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you [Israel], it shall be required of this generation Luke 11:49-51. Believe it, accept it, or doubt it: Babylon = Israel, according to the Bible. ADDENDUM FOR ALL BIBLE BELIEVING CHRISTIANS WHO SUPPORT ISRAEL TODAY For those of you whoareChristians, as I am,I havesome veryimportant questions for you: 1) Have you ever read the Bible? 2) Do you understand what you're reading? 3)Do you understandthat, according to Jesus himself,Godrejected Israelover 2,000 years ago, becauseIsrael, as a nation, rejectedGods only begotten Son, Jesus? 4) Do you know where, in the Bible, this rejection of Israelby Christ (and God, the Father) can be found? 5) Do you believe in (and act upon) what Jesus said (and did)? ***ANSWERS***

See: http://www.garynorth.com/freebooks/docs/2122_47e.htm Gary North - Have You Caught Rapture Fever? If your physician told you that you probably have only a year to live, would you apply to graduate school? Silly question, isn't it? Of course you wouldn't. With a year to live, it would be foolish to begin a long-term educational program that will cost you a lot of money and use up the precious time you have remaining. If you have read in a prophecy book that Jesus will probably return before the year 2000, would you apply to graduate school? Not if you believed the book. Time is too short. The gains would be too far away in time. Question: Should you believe the book? For over 160 years, pastors, and authors have been telling Bible-believing Christians that Jesus is coming soon to "rapture" His Church to heaven. This means that nothing a person can do to build a legacy on earth will survive the 3.5-year Great Tribulation period that will begin 3.5 years after the "secret" Rapture. This means that an investment in graduate school or any other long-term capital project is a very high-risk

investment. Here is a major reason why modern fundamentalism has not built universities, medical schools, law schools, and all the other institutions that produce wealth and leadership in the modern world. This is why fundamentalist Christians have been sitting in the back of humanism's bus for over a hundred years. They believe that the Church's time on earth has just about run out. They are willing to make sacrices only for projects that will pay off in the short term. They have been paralyzed by Rapture Fever. Rapture Fever is a study of the paralyzing effects of a doctrine that was invented in 1830. It shows why millions of Christians who have accepted this doctrine have walked away from great opportunities because they regarded these opportunities as heavy responsibilities. Evangelical Christians have voluntarily handed power over to their enemies. Their enemies have a concept of the future that spans many generations. It is time to reclaim the future for the Church of Jesus Christ, and in doing so, reclaim the present. It is time to seek the cure for Rapture Fever. Rapture Fever: Catalog Description The dispensationalism taught by C.I. Scoeld and Lewis Sperry Chafer is no longer defended by younger dispensational theologians. Only a handful of theologians, most of them in their 80's, still proclaim the old faith, with its radical separation of the Kingdom of God (Church era) and the kingdom of heaven (Jewish dispensation) and the doctrine that leaven in the Bible always means evil. This book shows why the older dispensationalism, with its bias against Christian social action, could not meet either the theological test of truth or the cultural test of relevance. The old dispensationalism still is heard in many pulpits, but there are not seminaries that still teach the old faith undiluted. This book shows why: see: http://www.garynorth.com/freebooks/docs/2122_47e.htm
