The 2011 Miss Oakland in October pageant is open to young ladies ages 0-18 who are residents of OR are students in FAYETTE COUNTY. Each contestant will do a beauty modeling walk in a dress of choice, with hair and make-up appropriate to the age division. There will be a queen and runners up in each division. The number of runners up will depend on the number of contestants in each division. Age divisions may be re-arranged according to the number of contestants. Judging will be based on poise + on-stage personality, beauty, and overall presentation. Entry fee is $30 per contestant before the day of the pageant. Registration the day of the pageant will be available from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM for $40. Applications may be paid with cash or credit card. Admission will be $5 per person above the age of 5. Credit card machine will be available the day of the pageant. Entry and admission fees are used to provide crowns, banners, facility rental, sound, lights + advertising. All contestants must be present and checked in at Oakland First Baptist Church no later than 12:30 PM, ready for the stage. Only touch ups to hair + make-up will be allowed backstage. Each contestant may have ONE person with them back stage during the pageant.

I give my child permission to participate in the Miss Oakland in October Pageant. If selected as queen for her age division, I will have my child present, in crown and banner, at the Oakland in October Festival on Saturday, October 1st. Photos taken of queens and contestants during and after the pageant, as well as at the Oakland in October Festival will be used in print and on online promotion of the festival. I understand that the decision of the judges is final. I understand that the pageant committee, Oakland First Baptist Church, and the Oakland Regional Chamber of Commerce are not responsible for any losses or injuries.
