ARM7TDMI Design for Object Tracking and Positioning Using GPS

SYNOPSIS :
The goal of this article is to review the state-of-the-art tracking methods, classify them into different categories, and identify new trends. Object tracking, in general, is a challenging problem. Difficulties in tracking objects can arise due to abrupt object motion, changing appearance patterns of the object and the scene, no rigid object structures, object-to-object and object-to-scene occlusions, and camera motion. Tracking is usually performed in the context of higher-level applications that require the location and/or shape of the object in every frame. Typically, assumptions are made to constrain the tracking problem in the context of a particular application. In this survey, we categorize the tracking methods on the basis of the object and motion representations used, provide detailed descriptions of representative methods in each category, and examine their pros and cons. Moreover, we discuss the important issues related to tracking including the use of appropriate image features, selection of motion models, and detection of objects. For example our Project consider vehicle. In modern world, many new techniques such as biometric recognition technique, image processing technique, communication technique and so on, have been integrated into car security systems. At the same time, the amount of accident of cars still remains high, specially, lost. Traditional car security systems rely on many sensors and cost a lot. When one car is really lost, no more feedback could be valid to help people to find it back.

PROPOSED SYSTEM : In proposed system we introduced a low-cost extendable framework for embedded smart car security system is proposed, which consists of a face detection subsystem, a GPS (Global Positioning System) module, a GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) module and a control platform. The face detection subsystem bases on optimized AdaBoost algorithm and can detect faces in cars during the period in which nobody should be in the car, and make an alarm loudly or soundlessly. The other modules transmit necessary information to users and help to keep eyes on cars all the time,

even when the car is lost. The face detection technique to be applied in car security system because this kind of technique is effective and fast, and one alarm signal could be given to make an alarm or call the police and the host soundlessly with the help of other modules in the system prototype. Experimental results illuminate the validity of this car security system, and it is also much cheaper and smarter than traditional ones. Working Detail: In this embedded smart car security system, FDS (face detection subsystem) aims at detect somebodys face in the car during the time in which nobody should be in the car, for example, in the night when the cars owner is sleeping. FDS obtains images by one tiny digital camera which can be hidden easily in somewhere in one car. When FDS detects one face in alarm period, one alarm signal will be sent to the control central of the system. An alarm or a silent alarm will be triggered according to the uses settings. In silent alarm pattern, no direct alarm will be made, but several modules are working at inform owner and the police several important data, for example, the precise location of the car. At the same time image of the driver
