To develop and maintain a back-office monitoring function with a view to ensuring that the divisional activities and portfolio are in line with the departmental and organisational strategy. Proactively manage the portfolio of approved projects through a system (computerised). Monitoring and Evaluation of various covenants and KPIs' and alert Division Manager of any risk of non-compliance with set targets/covenants etc.

Activities/responsibilities

Assume primary responsibility for ; Executed deals, Maintaining contacts of existing client, consultants, Processing of waivers and amendments. Annual reviews of the approved projects. Lead/oversee the monitoring, periodic review and progress reporting of: Project implementation, Compliance with covenants, Risk evaluation & review measures to mitigate the identified risks, Monitoring of fees, repayment and disbursements, Liaise and seek advise from relevant departments (Legal, Risk, Treasury, Finance, Operations Evaluation) to address various implementation issues. Lead/oversee the creation of appropriate tools and instruments for portfolio management purposes. Monitor regularly IDB's Portfolio in terms of composition, size, quality, concentration, diversification, and other criteria. Regular/periodic review, monitoring, and reporting of portfolio with a view to ensuring that the portfolio is in line with departmental and organisational strategy and that it is delivering the desired level of developmental impact. Contribute to the development and maintenance of portfolio management systems and reports aimed at providing up-to-date and accurate decision support/ performance management support. Upgrade the filing, reporting and management of the portfolio through the application of industry best practices. Work closely with other staffs of the PPP to ensure uniformity of standards, application of lessons learnt and commonality of approach. Maintain and share knowledge of emerging best practices in project/corporate finance, private equity, and overall investment management. Prepare and disseminate briefing notes and information materials on issues of concern related to PPP operations and portfolio to the Management.

Qualification & Experience

Masters degree in Business Administration or a Graduate Degree(s) in relevant fields such as finance and business and/or equivalent Professional Qualification (CFA, CPA etc.) At least 3 years experience in private sector, including hands on experience in project finance / corporate finance/ investment banking related back office functions. Knowledge of industry sector trends, financial markets and Islamic Finance. Robust analytical and problems solving skills to identify issues and present creative and practical solutions. Ability to interact effectively with the internal and external entities and proven ability in maintaining excellent working relationships. Capacity to deal with conflicting priorities and deliver high quality work on schedule; Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Mature and seasoned professional with good task management and organisational skills; Ability to work effectively in different cultures; Ability to work with diverse teams and handle many tasks simultaneously, often with inflexible deadlines; Strong analytical skills; Good Computer Literacy; Good and effective negotiating skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and preferred to have a working knowledge of one of the other two languages (Arabic, French). Good understanding of development management issues, Financial Analysis and Modelling skill.
