"Twill Designer- A study tool for Third Year Textile Students"- Yearly Staff Project Competition (First Prize), 1999.(Also presented paper in an National Seminar) This project is developed in the year 1999 for the subject Twill Designing. This subject is available in the syllabus of Third Year B.E.(Textile). The teaching of this subject requires design of a 32x32 grid on the board followed by the twill style based on the various parameter required by every style. In the classroom, this takes nearly an hour for designing a single style with only one parameter combination to give the understanding on the same. The project Twill designer included five important techniques from the syllabus. It was possible to take various parameter combinations in one hour class itself when the class is taken in a laboratory with 60 terminals with the help of this project. The project was very much popular amongst the textile students of the college. Prof. A. K Talukdar, subject In-charge Faculty and Head of the department, who supported for this project in terms of the subject knowledge.

2.

"The Game of Othello"- an as example of N-queen strategy, 2000. This game is designed an the example of the N-Queen method for the subject Analysis of Algorithm in Final Year of B.E.(Computer). Although it was designed for the students but it was very much popular amongst the faculty and Non-Teaching staff of the College.

3.

Motion of Electron in Fields An Interactive Teaching Aid, 2001. This project was designed for the students of first year (Subject: Physics) to display the motion of electron in the various fields and its impact on the display screen based on the various different parameters and their combination. Dr. S. W. Anwane, subject In-charge Faculty and Head of the department, who supported for this project in terms of the subject knowledge. (Paper is Published in a National Journal and also available on Springer).

4.

The Class Monitor Project for monitoring the class attendance of the student, 2006. This project was designed for monitoring the overall attendance of the Computer department students. It included features such as Cumulative attendance list, List of Defaulter student subject-wise/class-wise, Term Test Result preparation, etc. The project programming was done by Ms. Ekta Bhatt, Lecturer in CMPN Dept.

Registration number: AU/554-PhD/Bus.mgt/4/98. Description:

The work conducted is a treatise on the likely impact of internet and information technology on Indian Banking. It deals with various aspects related with banking industry and the challenges posed by innovative concepts before Indian banking sector. A survey of customers and the employees of several banks (Nationalized/International./Cooperative) were conducted as a part of the research and a collaborative model for the development of the technological innovations in the field of banking was suggested.

Outcome: The part of the thesis is converted in to a book entitled Indian Banking in Electronic Era (coauthored by Ph.D. Supervisor) published by Sarup & Sons Publication, New Delhi. The book is used as reference book by

Title: The Optimal Strategy for CFG Induction Using Genetic Algorithm Ph.D. Supervisor: Dr. Madan U. Kharat. Registration Date: 15/01/2009.

Registration number: SGBAU/Ph.D./CSE/05/2009. Description: The

work is an enquiry regarding finding new operator with use of an evolutionary

approach, more specifically Genetic Algorithm, to perform context-free grammar induction. Making domainspecific language development easier for domain experts not versed in programming language design is an open problem in the area of domain specific languages. While many possible approaches can be taken to build a domain specific language, GA/GP is a successful technique for getting computers to solve problems automatically and finds application in domains ranging from robotic control to data mining. GP has been shown to successfully evolve methods. The proposed research work will encompasses the effort towards determining the optimal structuring element to be used along with GA for the induction of Grammar, especially CFG. The candidate has identified the following objectives for the research work: 1. 2. 3. To study the various types of Evolutionary algorithms. To study CFG with emphasis on the un-decidable problem in CFG. To study the applicability of the Evolutionary algorithms in various area of research, more specifically Genetic Programming and Genetic Algorithm, to context-free grammar induction. 4. 5. To study the Existing strategies about CFG Induction. To investigate the possible strategies for applicability of the GA in Grammar Induction specifically CFG.
