Graduate Trainee Control Applications Engineer Lincoln October 2011 2 year Fixed Term Contract

Lincoln is the base for the design and manufacture of world class gas turbines for applications within the Oil and Gas Industry and Industrial Power Generation (cogeneration). The Role You will be working in the Controls Application Department, taking standard modules, adapting and adding to them to create the final control solution for Gas Turbine driven Compressors, Pumps or Alternators. Specialised training will be given where required and you will be working as part of an international team. Controls Applications provide project specific engineering for gas turbine driven compressor / pump / alternator control systems including elements of: Hardware and software engineering. Control architectural design PLC and HMI design, implementation and maintenance. Customer facing

Working in a multi discipline team on multi million pound projects to deliver solutions, on time, to specification and within budget. Minimum Educational Requirements Degree: You will be graduating or have graduated Electronic/Controls Engineering degree Degree classification: 2:2 or above

This person will need excellent interpersonal skills will be confident in communicating at all levels and will posses excellent presentation and leadership skills. Training & Development The business offers a 2 year graduate programme with full accreditation from the two major engineering institutions; IET and ImechE, and is in a position to provide a route to Incorporated or Chartered Engineering status. You will also take part in the Siemens Graduate Development Programme. This consists of a series of modules covering the personal and professional skills you will need at this stage in your career. You will also receive high level job specific training and development.
