Introduction Philippines is one of the most religious country as we know. With the accompanied of the

church, we are guided. But still, moral issues revolve around us. The most significant moral issue in the Philippines was Human Trafficking. It is not only pertaining to Philippines, but also in other countries. Crimes against humanity are strictly punishable by law. In the view of Christian concept, it is disrespect to the image of God. For instance, as poverty increases, the dignity of human is critically exploited. Some people taking advantages of other people in order to achieve earning a big amount of money. Money is just like a drug. When addicted to it, you want more of it without thinking that you may step the dignity of other people in order to obtain yours satisfaction. The objectives of this paper are to modify the moral principles and moral agent behind the moral issues of human trafficking and relate it to the Christian concept and values. This paper also aims to present the view of church facing this issue. II. Body

What is Human Trafficking? Human Trafficking is an illegal recruitment of persons wherein victims are abused by the person who has power to control over them. Its mostly for the purpose of force labor and exploitation. According to United Nations, The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation". Current Situation Of human Trafficking in the Philippines Philippines is a source of transit of men, women, and children who are subjected to exploitation and force labor. Victims of human trafficking are mostly treated inhuman. They are subjected to violence and nonpayment salaries for their labor. The victims are usually come from rural areas as well as urban areas. Primary cause behinds the human trafficking was poverty. Some parents even sell their children for prostitution to foreign people in order to gain their financial for daily need. The mentality of

kapit sa patalim is the concept of some women who are experiencing hardship in earning money to support herself or her family.
