How to Put an Idea in Someones Head

(and make them want to do it)

The Rules for Implanting an Idea

A META RULE
A point about karma, social intelligence and positive intent. Thou shalt not... use these techniques for anything sleazy and/or malicious. Thou shall... have and use Social Intelligence at all times. You know how we say that with Violent Intent in fighting you can make up for poor techniques and attributes, but that without Violent Intent even great techniques and attributes will fail? To put that into something more tangible: the house wife who defends herself and her kids against hardened criminals by picking up anything to hand and going berserk attacking the attackers (there are stories of untrained women killing, maiming, removing the important parts of attackers).

Versus the gym junky dojo ninja all the gear and no idea man who looks awesome and is great in the gym but is scared shitless in the street and goes to pieces when a gang of teenagers steal his lunch. House wife has no training but bags of violent intent is more dangerous than a Gym ninja has loads of training but zero violent intent. Got it? :) Same in Psychology : WITH social intelligence all these good techniques are workable, even half understood techniques are workable and certainly zero technique but just making it up as you go along is definitely workable (to some degree). That is as long as you have social intelligence. BUT WITHOUT social intelligence NO psychological techniques will work. Ever. Not even a little bit. from wikipedia Social intelligence describes the exclusively human capacity to use very large brains to effectively navigate and negotiate complex social relationships and environments. There are some people who frequently upset other people without meaning to, or find themselves being bewilderingly excluded socially... its most likely this is because they lack social intelligence. These techniques won't work for people like that. Having a positive intention actually is not enough, you need to develop an ability to know when it is appropriate to speak, how to speak and what to say. This is an intuitive skill that can only be built over time with a lot of mindful exposure to social interaction and a willingness to learn. Ahem... NOT by reading books alone in your room. This is the gap between theory and practise and by this I mean you MUST take this dry academic theory and put it into practise by practising until you get good at it.

persons thoughts, feelings and behaviours to get them to do something that they wouldnt normally do... and make them WANT to do it. HOW TO CREATE AN INCEPTION OF AN IDEA


remember that your state transmits, you must be in control of your state No martial artist, self protection practitioner, security professional, LEO, therapist, public speaker, actor, performer or PUA worth their salt will lack an exquisite ability to control their state controlling your state starts with AWARENESS of your state : your state is your emotional and psychological condition in the here and now you can control it by altering your physiology, your internal dialogue, your internal representations and beliefs these are just 4 of the most powerful immediate ways that dont require anything external... what are other ways you or others use to control their state? If you want more info on this just let me know. There are multiple ways of controlling your state, you must become adept at them. If you want to influence someone you MUST be in control of your state. Your state transmits. If you want someone to feel something YOU must feel it FIRST. It's also the fastest and most natural way of elicting that state. Try this: go into any state and start talking to someone, notice that their state automatically and unconsciously alters to match yours? Google contact high if you are interested in learning more about this effect you MUST build rapport and trust In the same way that you MUST have social intelligence to make a psychological influence technique work for you, you MUST already have a good degree of rapport and trust with the person for the influence to work. No exceptions. If you dont know how to do this I can show you, just ask (remember this is just a freebie book to introduce you to the concept). you MUST make them WANT to listen This is not the semi or un conscious communication style we normally robotically spew out daily, this is a performance; whilst you don't need to measure every word, gesture and inflection neurotically, you DO need to be mindful. Being over-controlled will make you seem stilted and unnatural and you will activate the Targets defense mechanism meaning you will have to go back and rebuild the trust. Be natural, but be mindful. Practise makes perfect.

People are already in a trance Some people, even so called qualified hypnotherapists get quite uptight about this assertion, some find the even find the notion outright offensive that their knickers get all bunched up about it. They go so deeply into a trance of righteous indignation that with each huff and puff of frustrated rage they go deeper and prove my point ever more adequately in fact. Im only joking. Or am I? I'm not going to argue the point, accept it or let it go. People do not need to be put into

trances, they are already in one. Once you engage someone in a conversation? They go into a conversation trance and willingly open their minds to the ideas and suggestions you can put in there.

As do you.
It's a two way street so watch out or you can end up with the person putting ideas in YOUR head. Let yourself go into a trance in conversation, but maintain awareness.

Tell a story in which someone you know did the thing and enjoyed it A fantastically powerful technique that delivers the clearest most exact results in my experience. It bypasses the defense mechanism you're not talking about me therefore there is no pressure on me or expectation of me and activates the inner child oooh a story! The unconscious mind works in and learns through metaphor, which is why we dream in metaphors and symbols, use this fact to your advantage. WARNING: if you are too obvious you're screwed. e.g. you want your wife to lose weight so you tell a story about someone else hey hun, bills wife went on a diet and she looks really hot now will only get you a night on the couch. Remember what I said about social intelligence? :) There are great ways to get someone close to you to consider getting back into training and to review their nutritional habits -no one size fits all solution as such - but its one of those issues that if its handled incorrectly can create huge passive resistance, resentment, even more anger and a sense of being judged will definitely worsen the problem; you must always be careful of activating a persons defense mechanisms and making them dig their heels in AND its way more powerful and effective to appeal to a persons inner child and sense of fun not enough time here to go further into this one.

use embedded commands At first glance this one can seem so filmic that it seems ridiculous, but it actually does work. You simply hide/embed the command into the sentence : So I told this girl, I said to her 'how do you even know you're so confident about being able to try new things?' you know what she said? She goes 'in the past you know whenever I've tried something new and I just say to myself 'come on lets just go for it, you know just do it ha ha ha! And then you just do it? Well its like that, it makes me feel excited about just trying it and giving it a go. Which makes you feel good now doesnt it?' (pause at this point and give eye contact which creates confusion because actually they dont know whether you're still talking as the girl in the story or as you, wait for the confusion to register on their face and then immediately go back into your story it

deepens the trance state as they go internal and try and work out what you are saying whilst you are talking) So I say 'well that sounds fine then, I suppose we may as well just let you give it a go seeing as you are already keen to' I mean I was really impressed, I told her 'its always impressive and inspiring when people just take a risk and throw themselves into something totally new' because that the only way to learn now dont you think? These sentences when written down are clearly poorly constructed , but practise saying them out loud with animated inflection and the poor structuring is papered over BECAUSE people use bad structuring when speaking all the time. Your brain is used to making sense of the (what is sometimes) total drivel coming out of peoples mouths and whilst it does that the embedded commands slip in under the radar.

use a character voice and JUST TELL them to do it I use humour, silly voices and funny faces a lot when building rapport or influencing someone. And Ive noticed ALL GOOD COMMUNICATORS DO. To make someone laugh is really powerful because it causes them to associate good feelings to the sight of your face and the sound of your voice. An anchor you want to create. Humour and flexibility of perception and behaviour seem to be very tightly bound. Pretending to hypnotise someone as a joke, looking into their eyes and doing the wiggly fingers whilst telling them to do something is funny and non invasive. Or you can do the Jedi eye wipe and an Alec Guiness impersonation. It also works WEIRDLY well! (I could pontificate at this point about how we are all prehypnotised to respond to authoritative commands but I will be kind and spare you.) Do it briefly, then instantly change the subject, let them linger on it just long enough to laugh but not to think about it. Don't give them too much time to analyse. A good rule of thumb is that if what you're doing isn't making YOU laugh and smile then it won't be making them laugh and smile and therefore you are probably doing it wrong, for the wrong reasons or you are lacking in confidence. It should be fun. Even in intense therapeutic work, humour is a valuable tool.

make the person laugh and talk about doing the thing you want them to do -anchor humour (appeal to inner child) If you can make the person laugh when they think about doing the thing, they are more likely to associate positive emotions to the behaviour and therefore more likely to do it. We

are hard wired to move towards pleasure and away from pain.
And furthermore: people will do anything if they have a good enough reason. Subtly stack the benefits of the thing to be done in a way that is non direct and their unconscious mind will draw them to doing the thing and it will seem in their perceptual awareness like it was completely their own idea.

Magic.

And secondly the power lies in causing them to think: what are the other people in the group I think I belong to do doing? I MUST do it too or I will lose out - both are very strong instincts. To do as the herd does, to keep your place in a group and to avoid LOSING OUT which is such a weirdly powerful drive that is poked so often by advertising mind controllers that I can only surmise that if analysed you would find somehow related to the fear of death. I do know that if you imply or suggest missing out or exclusion from a group people go into a near hysterical frenzy to avoid that by BUYING THE PRODUCT. pretty girls who squirt and rub ultra expensive man-gak facial goo on their faces are scientifically found to be 76.4% prettier than the fuglies who don't use it and therefore will never ever get married and have babies and shall live alone in a house that smells of cats You will see some varieties of this strategy in the HIGHLY manipulative world of sales and advertising. But Richie I hear you cry they don't say anything about pretty girls or fuglies - no they don't say it, they don't need to : they just show you pictures of impossibly pretty (photoshopping is absolutely standard to create this impossible ideal) girls using the

product and don't show you pictures of normal looking girls using it. The implication is there: this product is for beautiful people and normal is just not good enough. Feel bad and buy this now. If you don't you will feel weirdly anxious and sweaty until you give in and give us your money. Because you're worth it. is a tag line for an expensive hair product. The message is if you value yourself you will treat yourself to this more expensive hair product. If you don't then well then you obviously you don't value yourself, you slut. Fiendishly clever isnt it? We can use the same strategies to less dark ends and whilst learning about them become aware of the techniques being used against us. bodybuilders who use this product get 1000 times more pec juice than those who dont This is a fairly typical sales line right? Even if you;re not a body builder Im sure you will have seen the ads. Remember sales is influence and influencing someone/ putting an idea in their head is basically a sales pitch, you're selling the person on an idea or a thing. Study the adverts around you, what are they implying? What buttons and instincts are they pushing? Do they imply that you are somehow Not good enough and only their product can save you? Frequently. Can you see examples of advertisers telling stories to sell ideas? Of them using visual metaphors? Of them even embedding commands? Check it out. It's fun.

you COULD make not doing the thing seem wrong or damaging (appeal to scarcity/fear of losing out) Fear of pain is a stronger motivator than pursuit of pleasure, truly powerful influence has a fear of loss/pain in it not enough time to get into this one for this free ebook, but its a topic well worth studying. If you can avoid using this one then do. Sometimes however it's a necessity: brush your teeth or your teeth will fall out picture of pretty girl missing a tooth Stop smoking or this will be the result followed by a hideous photo of a medical condition apply sun tan lotion or risk skin cancer etc etc obviously using fear to get through to people is not only acceptable but a necessity.

FINALLY: don't rush and use fractionation effect If you rush you are more likely to make mistakes, this inception work must be done subtly and carefully, if the person realises you're implanting an idea it's less likely to work. Though if your using it for seduction or therapy, being caught out is hardly a bad thing; the agenda is expected and desired. Fractionation: simply put fractionation is the process of taking someone into and out of trance. Each time they go back in they go back a little bit deeper. It is MUCH more effective to induce an influencing trance this way, by going in and coming back out and repeating than by just going all out in one big go. This is what and why it is used. Getting into the all important HOW would take a bit more time. If enough people are interested in I will write in a fuller version of this article. To build rapport or to make a sale, to get a drunk belligerent to leave a club or to convince someone without raising a hand that I'm not the person they want to be targeting right now? All the techniques above. Maybe with a few little extras thrown in but the basics are all there. You've got to sell the person on the idea, but nobody wants to be sold to. It makes them feel pressurised. SO if you can make them laugh when they think about doing a thing or start to associate feelings of fun, or like its a game, or a contest or even something that makes them feel empowered (I have found these to be the best things to do when encouraging someone to do something they know is good for them and that they should do but they lack motivation for) to do doing a thing (rather than feelings of obligation or tension or resentment that are there when people use weak ineffective strategies like nagging or bullying) then they are much more likely to do it of their own volition. All these techniques and secret tricks are things that certain people will use to varying degrees at certain times without much conscious thought. Very few people use all these things all the time with full conscious intent. It's important to understand that this process is natural, already existing and that we just refine it and make it better... stronger. Equally important to understand is that does NOT mean oh there is no point learning or practising them because people do this stuff already this is leap of false logic. If you don't study diligently and apply with discipline you are not going to be using these techniques to their fullest capacity.
